Prior to purchasing this, i was regularly buying a £1 pack of 3 from my local shop, which as my dog has 1 of these each day, was obv lasting for 3 days at a time, which coincided with my regular trip to the local shop anyway, to buy milk etc, & so buying a £1 pack of 3, in addition to my shopping basket, didn't seem very significant in terms of their price, - as £1 added onto the essentials I was buying anyway, didn't seem like a big deal. However, just recently, I've switch my dog back to the Cesar dog food, which is his fave, & instead of purchasing his food from the supermarket, which would have meant having to carry it back, & i could only have managed to carry 1 box, i decided to look up the price in comparison, here on Amazon, & as a result of that, I did purchase a bulk if 24 tins here on Amazon, so this is what actually prompted me to also look up these dental sticks, to see if I would be able to buy these in bulk, & whether by doing so, it would be any cheaper, - which resulted in my purchase of these!
The price in comparison to what i would have paid, at £1 per pack of 3, for 112 dental sticks, would have cost me over £37! So, for the price I paid here on Amazon, which was £18.99 for the 112 sticks, it actually worked out that I was only paying HALF the price! - which of course, was fantastic!👌 So, deffo a HUGE saving, & outstanding value for money! Needless to say, I was VERY pleased with this purchase!
They arrived speedily, which was great, & they were well packaged. The 112 sticks, in total, are actually made up of 4 boxes of 28 sticks in each. And within each of the 4 boxes, there are 4 packs, which each pack contains 7 sticks. The fact that these are in these multiple packs of 7, is really good, as all packs are fully sealed & have to be physically opened, so it means you only have to open 1 pack at a time, whilst the rest stay fully sealed, & fresh.
As stated, my dog loves these, & he has 1 every day, which is as recommended, & these are very beneficial for my dogs teeth, & oral health.
I would HIGHLY recommend‼️ & this is deffo ☆HUGE☆ Value For £‼️ - Seriously, these ARE the real deal, - as in these are genuine Pedigree Dental Sticks, not any cheap imitation. So these are the genuine product. There's nothing more I can really say!, apart from that if you purchase these you (& your beloved pooch) WONT be disappointed, & you will be saving a LOT of money!👌
I will DEFFO be ordering these again‼️
I hope you have found this review helpful 😉, xx
NOTE: These are available in 3 sizes too, - small, medium, & large, so are available to buy this same quantity, in each of the 3 sizes. And in the pics here on Amazon, its easy to select the correct size for your dog, as the pics show the weight ranges for each, - Small, Medium, & Large.
3 dogs had diahorrea and vomiting which the younger ones got over in 24hours. But one needed to go to the vets. He looked like he was drunk had severe diahorrea and sickness
The other small dog had seizures after eating them. Me and my dad came to the conclusion that all 4 dogs had only had the dentastix as the only change. We googled and saw that we weren’t the only ones. This was my personal experience with them. Amazon have refunded my money. I’ve also been in touch with pedigree and trading standards as I don’t think these are the real deal. Packaging is nothing like advertised on pedigree or pets at home website. All pedigree dentastix have a dog printed on the front. These don’t
I do not know if the ingredients have been changed but my dog cannot tolerate Dentastix now.
Over the course of a few days a Dentastix was given after the evening meal: my dog was sick( vomiting up what appeared to be the complete meal).
I did not connect the vomiting to the Dentastix initially, as my dog had not appeared to have any problems with them before (although he may have vomited out of my sight outdoors, making me unaware of the problem).
It had been a number of weeks before I re-started the Dentastix after his evening meal, when the problem became obvious.
I stopped the Dentastix and there have been no problems since, so feel sure there was a connection.
1) The dog seems to be addicted to these things - she starts begging for them well in advance of her usual "stick time", which can get a bit noisy...
2) They have quite a few calories - so they need to form part of the daily food allowance rather than being a treat on top, if you want to preserve the waistline of your 4-legged friend.
