I hadn't seen much bird activity for a few days, but they seem to have discovered it now. The sparrows (and pigeons) are going crazy for it. The blue tits are a little less impressed.

Recently I thought I would give them more of a variety so bought this food.
Sad to say the birds won't eat it. In fact nearly all of the birds have disappeared.
I seem to be feeding pigeons and a rather fat field mouse and nothing else.
Looking in the bag this stuff is almost dust, not at all what I expected.
It makes a terrible mess in the feeders, and all you can do is bin it.
Gone back to sunflower hearts and and suet pellets and crossing fingers that the birds will come back.
Update: I've had to reduce my rating. The 20kg bag is posted with no extra packaging. Sadly the third bag we received was split open. Someone had put a piece of duct tape on the split, but it was still leaking a small trail of seed when we received the bag. Perhaps 2-3 kg of seed had been lost before delivery. I'm very supportive of minimising packing, but clearly one layer of plastic is not enough for a bag of this weight.
