• Mixes better than anything i've previously tried (including Optimum Nutrition stuff).
• Has a high quality taste that isn't spoiled by an aggressive sucralose amount (props deserved to the pre-tasters!).
• No fluff or nonsense ingredients.
• It's not on the expensive side but yet wreaks of expense. The've also normalised the price across the board by the looks of it (<£30) and aren't charging 50% more for certain flavours. So credit where credit is due.
It's definitely my new go-to protein powder (assuming they don't hike the price) as, on the face of it, there appears to be no reason to go anywhere else and doing so would only result in a lesser experience.
But i'm a little disappointed and have knocked a star off due to it not having an amino acid profile on the label. It's predominantly made from concentrate, not isolate, and without an amino acid profile there's no way to verify the quality of that concentrate. Is it good? Is it rubbish? The consumer has no way of telling.
I'd like to give them the benefit of the doubt because as an Amazon brand and 'backed by science' this should suggest quality and integrity, but yet looking at their product list this is not (sadly) the picture that's painted.
They have bunch of BCAA supplements, which is basically snake oil backed by some old studies that have since been contradicted, and they have a pre-workout with a bunch of ingredients that don't have acute effects, so therefore have no business being in a pre-workout supplement (although it appears an excellent price for number of servings—but nutrtion label image is so small i can't read it so don't really know).
So one's gotta wonder do they know what they're doing? Do they know the difference between a high quality concentrate and a low quality one? Have they tested it? If they have, then why isn't that data on the label? If they haven't then, well, they don't know what they're selling.
Yes, other companies hide(?) the amino acid profile as well, which is a completely lame move and should immediately bring into question their integrity, but this is an Amazon brand and so therefore i'm holding them to a higher standard and spending the time to make this argument with the hope that they put the profile on the label.
I will still buy it because, as mentioned, it might be the best protein powder available (by a wide margin when you sum up taste, price, mixing, and protein content), but it still disappoints me.
Add the label and i'll change this to a 5 star review and remove this argument.
In the end I would recommend, for flavour, protein amount and as advertised (contains everything it says, fair/good quality protein)
Result will show if you know what you're doing not from product saying drink this go gym for 30 min and you get six pack, no reality is work out, eat properly and if you can't get what you need from your normal diet you get supplement to help. Hard work is not replace able with supplements.
I did have a problem re-sealing the packet until I figured out that the groove in the seal was completely full of whey protein. Then I just ran a fingernail down the groove to clear it out and it sealed fine.
I guess I'll carry on buying the cheapest I can find until I come a cropper.
