Directions:
How To Use Your electric toothbrush? Wet the brush head and apply toothpaste. Place the toothbrush in the mouth and turn on. Guide the brush head slowly from tooth to tooth. Hold the toothbrush head in place for a few seconds before moving on to the next tooth. Brush the gums as well as the teeth, first the outsides, then the insides, finally the chewing surfaces. Oral-B offers a variety of toothbrush heads to fit your personal oral health needs. Timer – how does it work? A short stuttering sound at 30-second intervals reminds you to brush all four quadrants of your mouth equally (picture 3). A long stuttering sound indicates the end of the professionally recommended 2 minute brushing time. If the toothbrush is turned off during brushing, the elapsed time will be memorised for 30 seconds. When pausing for longer than 30 seconds the timer resets.

Product description
Product Description
Experience Oral-B Pro 2 from the number 1 brand recommended by dentists worldwide. The sleek handle of the 2500 electric toothbrush helps you brush like your dentist recommends: It helps you brush for 2 minutes with the professional timer and it notifies you every 30 seconds to change the area your are brushing. While you are just moving the brush around your mouth, Oral-B's distinct round head does all the rest. It removes up to 100 percent more plaque than a standard manual toothbrush for healthier gums and it starts making your smile whiter as of the first day of brushing by removing surface stains. Not only this, but the toothbrush helps you protect your delicate gums with the proprietary pressure control technology that reduces brushing speed and alerts you to be gentler if you brush too hard. With the Pressure Sensor Oral-B Pro 2, 2500 toothbrush, is the must have brush for everyone who wants to switch to an electric toothbrush and improve their oral health. No wonder Oral-B is the number 1 recommended brand by dentists worldwide. Oral-B Pro 2, 2500 electric rechargeable toothbrush is compatible with the following replacement toothbrush heads: Cross Action, 3D White, Sensi Ultrathin, Sensitive Clean, Precision Clean, Floss Action, Tri Zone, Dual Clean, Power Tip and Ortho Care. Why won't my Oral-B electric toothbrush hold a charge? Depending on which model you have, your Oral-B electric toothbrush should take between 14 and 22 hours to fully charge the brush, and should last for between 5 and 12 days of brushes (when brushing twice a day, for 2 minutes each time). If your brush is not charging or lasting this long there are a few tips you can try. First thing to do is check that the power outlet you are using is working as it should. If it’s attached to a bathroom cabinet, for example, the light switch on the cabinet may need to be switched on to power the socket. Make sure you are not charging the toothbrush on a metal surface. The metal can interfere with the charging process. With our Vitality, Kids toothbrushes & PRO 500 toothbrushes (labelled ‘Type: 3709’ on the underside of the toothbrush), it can sometimes be difficult to know when they’re correctly switched off. If they’re switched on while charging, they won’t charge correctly. The best thing to do is to put it on the charger for24 hours or so, and then try to switch it on. If it switches on that’s great, and it was correctly switched off while charging. However if it doesn’t switch on, that might mean that it wasn’t switched off during charging. Be sure you’re charging for the full time noted in the manual. For our Vitality and PRO 500 toothbrushes, that’s 16 hours. For the Genius range (labelled ‘Type: 3765’ on the underside of the handle), that’s 14 hours. For all other toothbrushes, they should be charged for 22 hours. All our toothbrushes apart from the Vitality and PRO 500 have a charging light. It should blink green during charging. Note that this can take up to 15 minutes to start happening if the toothbrush was entirely drained of battery during brushing. When charging is complete, the blinking should stop.

- Compared to electric toothbrushes I've used in the past, the brush head is very manoeuvrable in the mouth, meaning you can get to those hard to reach places.
- It leaves your mouth feeling cleaner than if you were to use a manual toothbrush.
- The sensitivity indicator can be helpful to let you know when you're brushing too hard.
- A full charge lasts me about a week, with roughly 10 minutes of brushing a day.
- The timer indicator let's you know how long to brush for, although, I usually end up ignoring this any way as I like to brush for a bit longer.
- There is an indicator that let's you know when the toothbrush is fully charged, which is a nice feature to have.
- There are two brushing modes; a sensitivity mode and a normal mode. The sensitivity mode can come in handy if you feel the normal speed is a bit too much and is causing irritation.
The Bad:
- I was surprised at just how long the toothbrush actually takes to charge, which is around 16 hours. Sometimes I have to take it off of charge before it's complete, due to the fact that I need it to brush.
- Comes with a European plug, so you will need an adaptor.
Overall:
There are a lot more positives when it comes to this electric toothbrush than negatives. For the price It's pretty much a no brainer if you're looking for a new brush; perhaps switching from a manual toothbrush to an electric one. If you want to spend a little bit less and don't need all of the added features of the Oral-B 2500N, then the Oral-B Pro 650 is probably the way to go. All in all, there are some electric toothbrushes that can reach triple the price of this Oral-B 2500N, so for the price and what it can do, I thoroughly recommend it. I've had to knock off a star due to charging times, but it is still worth it for the price.

But I can confirm this is the PRO 2 2500, meaning it has a Lithium battery instead of the old Nickel based ones, so the battery should last twice as long!
Or I was until it started a problem with the battery discharging completely when I tried t charge it or or lasted a session or two, going from fully charged to completely flat. This happened first after about four or five months.
The good news is that I phoned the telephone number provided by Amazon through looking at the options on my original order. I phoned, they answered promptly, asked about the problem and asked that I send it in for repair. No fuss about not having the original packaging. They wanted a copy of the invoice which I easily found on my account in Amazon. They immediately emailed a returns note and prepaid postage label.
I sent it on a Monday; Tuesday morning about 9.30 I got a text to say it was received. 11 mins later I got another text to say it was fixed and going in the post by Royal Mail. The next morning it arrived. It was a new toothbrush and charger. A slightly different model with an extra mode (I still only need one!) and different colour (which makes no great odds to me, in fact all white is better).
With service like that my faith in P&G/Braun/Oral b is restored and I still give five stars.
I have used the new brush for one week. During that time I would put the toothbrush back on the charger after each use and therefore did not notice anything unusual. Then last night I unplugged the charger completely from the plug for about 45'. When I then tried to use the toothbrush, it had died completely and the battery indicator was flashing red. Not very impressed !!! Fortunately I had kept my older electric toothbrush, which I restored in its previous glory on the bathroom ledge and will continue using.
I should have known better, not paying attention to the similar comments from other buyers about the same problem. Send it back to Amazon for a refund. Thank God the positive Amazon customer experience, continuous to keep me happy.
