This is a nice little toy keyboard, it's small but robust. The keyboard has eight chunky white keys. The keys are all labelled with the note and sound they make. They have some resistance to them and feel nice and tactile. The sound it makes isn't too bad either.
There is the option of two different instrument sounds for the keyboard to make. There are lots of different elements to explore and play about with. There are different beats and DJ sound effects too. Plus some lights. I also think it's a good size for a toddler or small child, and It's also just the right size to fit in my backpack, if I wanted to take it out with us. It is definitely one for a toddler and it is just for fun as if you want a serious keyboard for your child this won't fit the bill, it's not meant to it's a fun little toy to get your child interested and starting out playing with music and sounds.
It's a lovely vibrant pink and purple colour with some turquoise and silver too. It's feels and looks as though it's been moulded from a decent quality plastic. It takes 3 AA batteries.
There is also a microphone included in the set. It attaches to a stand which can also be clicked to the base of the piano. I didn't think the microphone picked up my voice very well. I also connected my phone it to it using the audio lead provided and the keyboard acted as a speaker for the media playing on my phone. You could hook up anything really with a 3.5mm audio jack. I think this is a great keyboard with lots of sound effects and ways to create and experiment making music for toddlers.
