Solution to a problem that doesn't exist?

The Nuby Rapidcool bottle making kit is an excellent bit of kit. For your money you essential get three flasks, two are white and one is grey. The white ones are the same physical size as the grey but weigh substantially more, this is due to the way each flask is used. The grey flask is purely for holding boiled water while out and about so you can make a bottle up for baby quickly while travelling. The white flasks are where the bottle is made - you basically add boiling water to the white flask, along with the correct amount of formula (the kit includes two clear plastic lidded cups to carry measured powder feeds). You then place the lid on and shake the flask to make the bottle. As soon as you do this the flask will start cooling the liquid to the correct temperature for baby to feed safely. This is indicated by the LED on the lid turning from red/amber to green - you then transfer the contents to the bottle and feed away.The white flasks clearly have a coolant built into the walls to absorb the heat from the liquids inside hence the heavier weight.This all works very well, and the product is extremely well made, but it does feel like a solution to a problem that didn't exist. I mean don't most people make a bootle and then just cool it in ca jug of cold water?This device will cool from billing to body temperature (100 - 37) in two minutes so a guess if time is of the essence then you would use this. If you use it for bottle making on the go you need to carry at least two flasks (the grey with boiling water, and the white to cool it) every time you go out, when I think most mums would prepare a bottle before leaving the house and keep it warm in an insulated bag, or warm in up at your destination.So yeah, this is a quality piece of kit, which works perfectly, but it does seem like a solution to a problem no-one was having.
