Anyhow, I've had all the cameras down the throat and the docs said it's not worth an operation so I've been on Lasoprozole for over 20 years to treat it. The Lasoprozole works ok but it can cause lots of bloating in the stomach and gas, making me feel uncomfortable. It also doesn't agree with alcohol. (Yes, I know I shouldn't drink on those but sometimes the situation arises and I need to let my hair down)
I do like coffee and spicy foods (my vices) but I general lead a pretty healthy life with a decent diet and exercise 4 times per week. I also drink 1.5 litres of water per day. Sometimes the Lasoprozole isn't enough and I get the acid reflux still.
-- WORKS WONDERS. BETTER THAN LANSOPROZOLE --
I've tried Zantac and it doesn't seem to work that well. Tums and Rennie I eat like sweets. They work fine until you need a drink of water and then they stop working.
Nexium Control tablets (made by Pfizer - sorry about the Viagra calim) are by far the best - they just work. I take one in with food and they seem to stop everything for at least a couple of days. I get no burping, bloating or food repeating on my. I feel great and have decided to subscribe to a monthly delivery via Amazon.
