I've had the phone for a month or so now and I'm not disappointed. I've always had Sony phones in the past but having had issues with my last 2 decided to look elsewhere.
This phone is great for someone looking for a decent phone with great specs at a mid range price.
The battery is huge and really does last so much longer than any phone I've had previously. Up to 3 days with intermittent use. Combined with the 30w charger supplied in the box I have full charge in about an hour which is so useful.
I have a large amount of downloaded music so the micro SD slot is a must. Having a headphone jack (well positioned at the bottom of the phone) is great for listening with quality headphones. I've had no issues maintaining a Bluetooth connection with various headphones and speakers. The internal speaker is mono but surprisingly loud. The graphic equaliser is useful.
The 8gb of RAM means that everything is really zippy. I find the screen great and the fingerprint sensor is really good both in terms of functionality and that it is positioned on the side and doubles as a power button.
Helpfully the phone comes with a silicone clear case in the box, but no screen protector.
The rear is a little shiny for my taste but I'm used to plain monolithic Sony bricks and it's not OTT. Once the case is on you don't notice anyway.
When researching this phone I shied away from some alternatives that have ads built in to some apps to reduce the price, this is ad free. It's virtually stock Android 11 so is very clean and fast.
Call quality has been good.
My only gripes are 1. the Google assistant button which can't be fully disabled and 2. I miss my Sony music app which can't be dowloaded to non-Sony phones. There is no music app pre-installed on the phone so you'll have to find a third party one.
I'm not a gamer and just take point and press pics so maybe if you're looking for a serious gaming phone or market leading camera look elsewhere and pay more.
As a general use phone and for listening to music I'm very happy with my purchase.
At £300 RRP I think it's good value and at anything less it's a bargain.

How customer reviews and ratings work
Customer Reviews, including Product Star Ratings, help customers to learn more about the product and decide whether it is the right product for them.
To calculate the overall star rating and percentage breakdown by star, we don’t use a simple average. Instead, our system considers things like how recent a review is and if the reviewer bought the item on Amazon. It also analyses reviews to verify trustworthiness.

With 5G around the corner, thought I'd upgrade from my (still) excellent moto z³, and this feels like an upgrade in every way except for it's gargantuan size.
What it's physical footprint does bring, however, far outweighs it's form factor.
Having bought both the teal as well as the grey variant, I was pleasantly surprised by it's build quality and design, despite being made of plastic. A silicon sleeve is thankfully included for peace of mind, but do invest in some screen protection.
The OLED screen is terrific, and at 90Hz really is a perfect balance between smoothness, color, saturation and power consumption. Truly great for reading as well as the usual streaming services.
It comes bundled with ThinkShield security (for Enterprise level safety) on top of it's IMPROVED (but still authentic) version of Android 11, and it'll get 12 in the coming months as well as years of security updates. The motorola gestures are so good you wonder why everyone doesn't follow suit.
Another plus for business (or even gamers, AV enthusiasts) is the wired version of motorola's READY FOR feature; a usb-C affair that enables your monitor or PC access files, apps, games and android 11/12 on a bigger screen (4K capable with upscaling). Makes presentations, gaming, movies a real treat with the added keyboard/mouse/BT remote input.
The cameras are fantastic. The 108+8+2MP suite literally ticks all the boxes, with great results day or night. More than good enough to replace a dedicated point and shoot prosumer camera on holiday. 32MP selfies are only hobbled by your own facial aesthetics.
The 5000mAH battery just goes and goes, even with spotty 5G service. A power user will easily get 36hr, with light usage guaranteeing 2-3 days. It's 30W charging speed ensures quick topups.
Amazing value.

Bought this to replace a Xiaomi 10T that kept dropping calls. Initially thought this was a great value replacement until started to use it. Calls dont drop, but get poor quality so back to square 1 on the hunt for another replacement. TBF Amazon tried to resolve by sending a replacement phone, but received an empty (but sealed box) which the driver didn't want to take back (and then still marked the parcel as handed to customer !). Make sure you check the contents of the box before the driver heads off down the road !

I love this phone for several reasons:
1. great battery life
2. very good antennae (reason I changed phones)
3. great camera functions (but not the best quality)

Pros:
Decent if not incredible battery life
Nice bright high res screen
Plenty of storage
5g compatible
Affordable
Cons:
Feels a bit sluggish, even with old games like Candy crush you get juddering sometimes
Some apps take a long time to open or don't launch correctly and need to be forced to quit then relaunched
The fingerprint reader / power button is stupidity located. It's very very easy to turn on the screen mid call and then turn off WiFi, turn on flightmode or just scroll through Instagram with your face. Terribly designed.

I bought this to replace the G9PLUS after comparing performance and statistics against current similar speccd handsets and the G9PLUS. Technically the Edge 20 lite should have had faster and better performance but so far this has not been the case.
The screen often stops responding, the handset loses connection with the network and WiFi frequently, it also seems to lose connection with my Fitbit more often than the G9plus.
From completing a recent survey from Motorola about the Edge 20 Lite, it would seem that Motorola are aware of these issues.
All in all, this device is not an upgrade from the G range of devices and I am disappointed in its performance, so much so, that I would seriously considering going back to the G9plus
