This item has proven to be very useful over the festive period for lighting in the front garden. The lengthy cable has been a really big plus for us in terms of plugging in within the garage and providing two temporary sockets to utilise outside.
My only criticism would be that the weatherproof "doors" are designed for a conventionally shaped, bog standard 2 pin plug......Christmas decoration plugs a manufactured in a myriad of shapes, not all of them are able to housed in this device.

Okay for the money, but plug too large for outside socket box.

We initially bought the product to plug into our existing outside socket to allow us to provide power to lights at the bottom end of the garden. However, the spike provided did not feel sufficiently robust to push into the ground and so we opted instead to use one of the patio planters.
However, when we connected the product to our existing outside socket, the plug provided was too large to allow the socket to close properly and so we had to abandon that idea also.
We are instead going to connect it through the window into an internal socket and pass through the window when we need the power, which really was not the original intention. I may therefore need to buy something else to extend the outside power supply and not impressed at all with this product. Feels quite flimsy in construction, but time will tell how durable and weather resistant it is.

Required this for a light up Parasol heater on a table, this worked however the shape of the plug for the heater was not a standard plug which meant I could not close the waterproof shell while it was plugged in which meant I had to put the socket somewhere where rain couldn't get at it while it was in use which was unfortunate, however this is not the fault of the socket, i'm sure it would have worked perfectly with a normal plug. I would recommend!
