About the author

James Sale is the creator of Motivational Maps and the founder of Motivational Maps Ltd. His book, Mapping Motivation, published by Gower (2016), is the definitive text on how to address the question of employee motivation and its correlation with performance, productivity, and profitability. This book was followed in 2018 by Routledge publishing: Mapping Motivation for Coaching (co-written with Bevis Moynan), Mapping Motivation for Engagement (with Steve Jones) and in 2019 with Mapping Motivation for Leadership (with Jane Thomas). The final volume, Mapping Motivation for Top Performing Teams was released in 2021.
Alongside this motivational work, James has had over 40 books published, including the best-selling York Notes Macbeth. Most recently his poems have appeared internationally in magazines and online forums. James was invited to join the Advisory Board of The Classical Poetry Society in New York. He has had over 500 blogs published, many on literary themes and reviews, online as well as in magazines and is a regular feature writer on myth and culture for New York’s The Epoch Times.
Currently, James is working on a sequence of Cantos - the English Cantos - emulating Dante’s Divine Comedy and using Dante’s terza rima form. Progress of the project can be found at https://englishcantos.home.blog

The revision guide itself has a clear and colourful layout that makes remembering quotes and understanding the play so much easier! It makes an excellent companion to the play, providing background information and a breakdown of each scene.
I would recommend this book for anybody studying GCSE Macbeth with the new 9-1 course.
