went on a recent coach holiday and when they weighed my case with their cheap scales it showed I was 2kg over. they were asking me to remove this weight as cases can not be over 20kg. I refused and took out these scales and they re-weighed the case. it was 19.1kg and so it was allowed on without having to remove anything.
when I arrived at resort I used the industrial weighing scales and mine were correct after all. the industry scales said my case was 19.2kg,
definitely worth the price as I could have had a very uncomfortable journey with 2kg of clothing on my knees if I had not purchased these scales.

For years we have been weighing our luggage by getting on the bathroom scales without the suitcase then getting on again with it. This has proved accurate to within a pound or two but is a bit of an effort. This digital scale is so much simpler and seems accurate. It is very easy to read even in poor light. Wish I had bought one years ago

After some messing about with the battery I finally managed to get the screen to stop flickering. But I quickly realised with time that the reason the battery is so hard to get in the first time is that you really need to find the technique to get it in as the metal clamp (as it should be) is really stiff at first to ensure the battery stays secure.

As a result when you first get this brand new it is very hard to get the battery in as far as it needs to be to stop the flickering of the screen.

Once I managed that the device worked perfectly and without a single issue even when gripped with two hands.

Most amazing of all is that each time I have used this the weight it gives matches to the gram what is shown on the screen at the airport scale. As a result I can safely say if a scale at the airport ever tries to say my bag is overweight I know their scale is not calibrated right.

After reading all the reviews I decided to go for this model. Nice and small, so good to take with you on holiday. Very easy to operate. The big problem is accuracy. I weighed several small items and then compared them by weighing on my digital kitchen scales and also my digital bathroom scales. The kitchen/bathroom scales were within a few grams of each other but the luggage scale was around a hundred grams out. I thought this might be due to just weighing small items (500g - 2kg) so I tried weighing a 20kg gym plate weight. The kitchen & bathroom scales were bang on but the luggage scale was nearly 2kg out.
Pretty useless for their intended purpose.

Very accurate, and it jumps from kg/lb/g/Ozs which is useful for me as I am Canadian and all the flights in Europe do KGs. The plastic bit that protects battery life is genius, so you receive it with a full battery. I kept the plastic bit and I have popped it back in when I am not using it to preserve battery life and suggest it to anyone else, unless you are a flight attendant or a pilot and are flying every other hour.

WAY easier than using the bathroom scales!

A very light compact device with a display (green) far brighter than you'd give the small "coin" battery credit for. Very clear and easy to read.

Turn it on and cycle through the various units of measure while it's in its "start-up phase". Kilos is what the airport uses so I stuck to that (that's the default).

First I weighed a large picture in a cardboard sandwich. 2.21 Kg. Impressed - my bathroom scales ignore anything under 20 Kg. Well - they see it then it resets to zero as if "you must be joking nobody weighs that little". My total flight allowance is 20Kg so the suitcase needs to be < 18Kg...

Suitcase 19.95Kg. Ok so I need to take stuff out. It really helps you whittle away and think about "what is essential, what can I buy there instead, what can I put in my hand luggage instead".

If I'd not had these accurate scales I'd have taken 22Kg to the airport and I would have been charged £67 to upgrade from 20 to 23Kg! £67!! This thing has paid for itself already.

With the display on the top it's really easy to see when lifting a heavy-ish suitcase with two hands. Some other brands have the display on the side and you'd need to squat or contort to see it.

Wish I'd bought one of these years ago! No more getting on bathroom scales to weigh myself, get off, get back on carrying the suitcase, subtract that weight from my weight to figure out the suitcase weight. Too much hassle.

For something that has only one simple purpose in life it, does it very well.

The product is a last min buy as we realised our old scales had gone a bit off. It was say our case was 52kg…. Anyway wife was pleased when these scares came up as 19kg so she added more. The scales at the airport confirmed these hand scales worked, as weight was within 0.1 - 0.2 kg difference to what these scales reported. I would take the result within 500g of target just to make sure you don’t get any weight charges at departure. The only issue I have is the grips either side of scales are shallow, meaning if you have big hands it only going to be able to grip it with half your hand. Not a problem at the moment but I can see it becoming a problem late in life. Battery is also a bit fiddly if you have big fingers. Had to use screw driver in the end to get battery back in when it popped out, after removing the tape that stops the battery from discharging in storage. Overall good buy, next day prime delivery and reasonable accuracy. Worth it if your old case scales fail and you need a replacement fast!
