My partner got several mosquito bites the other night whilst she was asleep. Normally they drive her mad itching for several days, even with anti-histamines.

She used this device as soon as she got up and has used it once a day since (three days).

She has had none of the usual itching and the bites are nowhere near as red and angry as they usually are.

We’re both really impressed with how well this device works!

This insect bite healer arrived in its own branded cardboard box.

The box contains:

• The insect bite healer.
• USB-A to USB-C charging cable (50cm).
• Instructions.

Like many others I was sceptical whether these devices actually work and yes, they do!

Before ordering I did some research and most people who reviewed these sorts of devices seemed to be doubtful about their effectiveness until they tried them. What convinced me to get it was a medical review on the US National Library of Medicine that confirmed their effectiveness.

Two days before this arrived I was in the Peak District and picked up a couple of horse fly bites. They’ve been itching like mad ever since and although, ideally, you’re meant to use this device immediately after getting stung/bitten I thought I’d try it. The itching went away almost immediately and hasn’t returned but the instructions say repeated use is okay if it does.

The device itself is light, quite small and simple to use. There is a switch on the side to select two levels of intensity (see picture) and a small, round ceramic plate on the tip heats up for a few seconds when the main button is pressed. I used level two (48-51°C) and although it gets quite hot it is bearable and only lasts a few seconds but be prepared! I did try it on level one (46-48°C) first but thought the heat was hardly noticeable on that setting. There is a small LED that lights up green (level 1) or red (level 2) when the button is pressed and the unit beeps and the light goes out when treatment is over (see video). The switch on the side also lights up in corresponding colours.

The device charges via a USB-C port on the tail end which is covered by a silicone rubber seal when not in use.

As I said, I was sceptical about this device but I’m really impressed with the way it works and I’ll definitely be carrying it in my rucksack when out walking. No more insect bite cream for me! 5 stars.

As usual, the package arrived very quickly from Amazon.

Inside the box is the Bite Healer, a USB-A to USB-C charging cable, and a Instruction Manual.

I ordered this MYCARBON Insect Bit Healer as I am one of those people that mosquitoes love, when I am on holiday and I get up in the morning I have loads of mosquitoes bites/stings, but my wife lying next to me has none, so when I get up I have to find my tube of cream to put on the bite to sooth it so it doesn’t itch.

When I saw this Bite Healer I was very sceptical, but I thought I would give it a try, because if it works it would be brilliant.

When I took it out of the box I was amazed at how light and compact it was, easy for packing to take on holiday.

Now as it happens, light night I went out and when I arrived home I noticed I had a bite on my arm, I then remembered I had the bite healer which I had ordered to use when on holiday, so I thought I would give it a go.

As you can see from my video, it is really easy to operate, I just switch it on to the first gear (this is how they describe it in the instructions), placed it over the bit, pressed the button on top, the skin under the ceramic plate heated up and it was all over in 3 seconds, afterwards the itching had stopped, I was amazed, I couldn’t believe it, it actually worked!

So would I recommend this MYCARBON insect bite healer, absolutely!

At the time of writing this review the price is £25.99, but at the moment there is a 20% discount voucher bringing the price down to £20.79, which for instant itch relief is brilliant, and I will save money or buying creams and gels that I’ve had to use when bitten.
