Basic X570, basic UEFI

Bought this for a 3700X, and it does the job with no immediate setbacks. For some reason in the UEFI BIOS the CPU voltage is 1.5v but in Windows it drops back down to normal levels.

The only gripe I have with this is the boot. There isn't an option to change the timeout, adjust quick POST etc. It isn't fast to POST, and occasionally when booting to Windows I get a black screen (i'm reusing the SSD from my old build, which is from about early 2013). I haven't tried with a Linux distro though.

I also have a problem with my keyboard, which uses a USB type C to USB 3 type A. In the BIOS try he keyboard repeats inputs so i'm forced to use the mouse.

Overall it's a motherboard that does the job, with all the features you'd expect from X570 in a clean-looking all-black design. I just wish the UEFI didn't feel so dated.

I bought this board for my first build and I returned it. There was not anything wrong with the board its just the VRM and thermal performance is bad. I would look at other reviews online like youtube and you will find that most pro reviewers and people in general will tell you how MSI X570 Series boards are not good for overclocking or going with a high end CPU such as the Ryzen 9. I am just a average consumer but I would just avoid MSI x570 and go with a different brand or b450 or b550. But if you are not planning to overclock or upgrade in the future and plan to go with a Ryzen 5 3600 or Ryzen 3 or something lower end it will be fine to use and you would not need to worry really. Though the price is attractive for a x570 board which is why I bought it it is simply not worth it and you would be better off finding a b450 or b550 or simply another x570. But my main message is just to avoid this board. Please do go watch other reviewers on their view on this board as I am just saying what I have heard, though I am clear on the bad VRM on the MSI X570 line up, it is not good. Also it lacks a front USB C front panel header.

Up to date model X570-A-Pro (Oct 19) worked first time with Ryzen 7 3700X. It took a while to examine everything, then restarted and booted perfectly. After a short while there was a "clunk". The buzzer dropped off the cables.Bad solder joint? Not sure. Tested almost short circuit. Ordered new buzzer. Bios is graphical. Cute, but you can still get to tech settings. No manual. You must download from MSI. Good job everyone has at least two PC's and a mobile phone... Right?
Not much in the way of fitting items. It comes with the backplate, two sata cables an M.2 screw and badges. The box was open It looked internally sealed but when opened there were "smudge" marks on the varnish. Board was slightly warped although this doesn't seem to have affected anything. The on board system fan doesn't kick in until over 60 degrees which I find uncomfortable The curve isn't adjustable, so it's switched on half power full time and sits at 40 degrees.

Ridiculous boot times and behaviour (Updated)

Very slow boot times, use it with a Ryzen 3700X. Ranges from 20-40 seconds, or it will fast boot and everything will be laggy and unusable. Point is, there are problems.
Even with UEFI only and CMOS resets and fresh installations of windows (which was painful) I couldnt resolve the problem.
It seems MSI is happy with this speed quoting it as 'normal'. The latest BIOS updates havent made it any better which is really shameful. I wouldn't go with MSI, there are positive reviews due to the hardware but understand their software support seems to be lacking. I wish I could return this but I cant now so I have to make due.
Way slower than my asus crosshair motherboard with my old AMD FX processor, so yeah not happy.
Purchase at your own risk

Update: After many bios updates over the years the boot times are good again (only use uefi boot or it will be slow), not as fast as my previous older computer but less than ten seconds. It has a good enough amount of ports to keep me going and no other issues with performance other than the boot length. Would recommend for purchase now if you take that into account.

So this was my second Ryzen build and fourth or fifth recent build but I have never tried X570. Since I was buying a Ryzen 3600 I thought I'd go for the better spec board and bought this since it's only a little more than the tomahawk and has more features.

The board I bought was an Amazon warehouse return supposedly all in original packaging unopened however the previous owner must have had the same issue as me as after installing everything it would not start so I've labelled mine as defective to be returned and ordered the B450 tomahawk instead.

There was no manual with the board just a quick start guide and the online manual advised you needed both the 8 pin and 4 pin CPU power cables yet when troubleshooting it only advised of the 8 pin cable so not exactly helpful. Online there's tons of reviews of people trashing the board for poor QC and I can see why.

Does everything it needs to. Here's some key points:
- Supports the 3000 series (3600 till 3950x) out of the box
- From what I've heard it's compatible with the next generation too (4000 series with 5nm tech?).
- Access to PCIe 4 and has a slot for USB C (thunderbolt etc)
- Deadly easy to detect your RAM speeds (mine are 2 x 8GB @ 3200 MHz) in the bios. Bios is a bit clunky (slow mouse movement) but it does the job

However, I'm not quite sure why I can't monitor my CPUs (3600) temperatures. A bit worried but I'm using coolermasters CPU cooler which name escapes me (the all black one) so I should be in safe hands. Please get back to me if you know why that is lol (yes I've checked all the right boxes in MSI Afterburner)

Not sure what to say really, it's a x570 motherboard. I wish it had the led strip underneath included for the price, especially as you can see the spaces for the leds unpopulated. Works fine, the bios is really clean and easy to use, only issue I have had is since the H20 bios upgrade, the system wont boot if using the intelligent CPU overclock, when it worked on the previous bios, but as I'm not too worried about overclocking the processor, it's a minor niggle. The chipset fan is quiet, cant hear it over the other fans, and it only kicks in when needed, so reliability shouldn't be an issue.
