Sadly, mine doesn't (it won't POST). The board is too new for any advice or troubling shooting hints to be available on the interwebs or the forums which means you are stuck using MSI support which is not a pleasant or productive experience. It has EZDebug lights (you can see one lit just above the 24pin connector) which you would think were there to help work out what was going wrong, but alas... nobody seems to know what they actually mean. The BIOS is being activley worked on which is normally a good sign, it went from Beta 13 to A1 during the week, but there are no changelogs that I can find which doesn't help.
I tried to RMA the board through MSI but they are not playing ball so I am just going to have to return it to Amazon and get something else instead.

I ended up ordering a case, a motherboard, some ram, a CPU and an SSD.
The motherboard I chose was the MSI B550 gaming edge WiFi, a board which is virtually a twin of their B550 tomahawk. As far as I can tell, the only real difference is one less Lan port with WiFi/Bluetooth instead, and one less heatsink for the nvme ssd. The fact that the WiFi/Bluetooth is integrated on the board is enough for me to choose this over its twin. Even the normal price premium for the gaming edge WiFi is a non issue, because they're the same here on Amazon, or they were when I looked.
The actual board is well laid out, and only the techies or nerds will worry about the way the PCI lanes are arranged less than optimally for the i/o. The RGB on the chipset heatsink is present, but rather understated. And if bling is your thing, both 3 and 4 pin connectors for ARGB and RGB are present and the results can be controlled by the motherboard software, Dragon center(yes spelt with "er").
Well recommended for those who want a nice AMD mobo, with a bit more upgrade path left in it, overclock abilities and bling. And for those like me who have an ancient current PC, but have a bit of common sense about plugging things together.
This motherboard stood out as it supported a front USB C header that I could use for my front USB C port on my PC case. Additionally, the fact that it had built-in Wifi 6 and Bluetooth was fantastic and meant I didn't have to worry about buying separate dongles. So far the Wifi and Bluetooth have been working great.
With this motherboard, I have been able to overlock my RAM as well as control my case fan speeds too. And the RGB is nice but not too crazy, which I like.
My main two concerns are that:
- The microphone port at the back of the motherboard has been creating a background hiss in the audio that I record. I've tried multiple headphones to no success.
- The motherboard doesn't support fast booting for the AMD CPU, which means it takes a good few seconds to POST.
Both of these things are minor weaknesses for a motherboard that I believe is a fantastic one.
However, I noticed a incredibly annoying flaw within a day or two. I started to notice some weird noises coming from my PC when I was moving my mouse with the CPU idle. I eventually pinpointed this down to the VRMs. Even in the BIOS there was a strange buzzing/crackling noise coming from them. This switched to a high pitched buzz when moving the mouse, and when under load it would sometimes emit weird chirps.
I tried to live with the noise, but I just found it too annoying when things were idle and the fan speeds were low. I have since tried a new PSU and also second board and had the same issues. There are quite a few posts on various forums with other people experiencing the problem.
I eventually went with a different brand motherboard entirely and don't have any noises at all, so it was definitely being caused by the board. Overall, really good board that was sadly ruined by some poor quality control by MSI.
