I originally only gave this one star because of problems with assembling the slide. But now I realise that I was trying to put the handles on the wrong way round. I think many purchasers have been doing the same thing and ending up with broken handles.
If you try to put the handles on with the smooth/solid side to the outside, you will only succeed in snapping off part of the handle. If on the other hand you assemble with the 'cut-away' side to the outside, the handles will snap into place without any problem.
