I've worked in education for years & little tykes cars have been center to play. THIS ISNT THE LITTLE TYKES WE ONCE LOVED! Screws snapped/heads wore and we assembled manually & NOT with electric screwdriver! The body parts are visibly scuffed and we're filthy. Only 4 screws hold top section together but 4 screws are involved in the complicated (for no reason) eye set up! We couldn't get our hands in to get the top structure screws in so they're half in half out. The holes are not pre drilled or pre threaded so you have to get these cheap screws to bite through thick plastic. Steering wheel setup feels like it'll take 2 tugs and come away. Look, just don't buy. EVERY PART even down to a screw is cheap! We would've sent it back if we hadn't passed the point of no return when putting together. We only noticed the scuffs and dirt as we went on. Spoke to a mate and he's got completely different little tykes car (the taxi) and he said the same. Finally, we both agreed that these cars come in far too many parts. You're basically buying a box of parts. Only the body is one as its moulded that way. EVERYTHING is separate. I'd pay double if they had made item more sturdy, secure and in only a few sections, rather than pieces, to put together! The only excuse for this mess is reduce costs, reduce quality! They really ought to be ashamed!
UPDATE: had to have 3 deliveries of replacement parts because they were either unusable or dangerous sharp plastic shards. See photo of example of sharp unfinished plastic. This wasn't worst. We had to order new wheels twice because of the state of them.
