Break easily, not strong enough for little hands!

I bought this during the Black Friday deals last year and I am just so glad i did not pay full price for this. These are meant to be used by little hands who do not have much finesse or grip or the skills to correctly handle these products so you would expect them to be used roughly! However, the quality is really disappointing and surprising having bought other products from this company, I was not expecting this. The scooper broke within two weeks of purchase when my three year old trying to scoop some kinetic sand out of his tray. It was then the turn of the squeezy tweezers which just bent after using a few times. We keep trying to put them back into shape, but no use! The dropper is fun and still used during bath time and the gator grabber a bit boring without the rest of the items. I wouldn't buy it again, i am sure they are other better products out there to improve skills than these.

Pieces come loose and break

The set is really cute and my son loved it but the scooping “scissors” came loose on the first use. We put it back several times and ended up breaking.

I contacted amazon who offered me £5 voucher as they didn’t had anymore in stock during lockdown which I accepted. However, after checking my account I never received my voucher 🧐

Brought for our 20 month old who likes to explore and use the kitchen tongs!
We luckily have a forward 20 month old who will use cutlery easily so is very hands on.
I brought these to encourage using different tools instead of the ones we have in the kitchen.
While these are a great cheap buy they don’t really last long enough. The yellow tongs after only a few minutes no longer close so it’s hard for our little boy to pick up anything with them.
I do however like the scissor action of the other tong like tool as it will get him used to the action before we introduce scissors.
I probably would buy again as apart from the yellow tongs everything else seems useable.
We use these to pick up cereal, rice, pasta.

Good for fine motor

I bought this set to try out before I bought class packs of these resources.
They are great for helping children with their fine motor skills as they need to work their hand and finger muscles to use them.
There are so many ways you can use them. (Picking up pom balls, marbles etc. Can also use the dropped with coloured water.
They are expensive for what they are but I would recommend them.
I've had them about 2 years and they still work perfectly but I would recommend supervising the children as the items are only plastic and could break if they try lift something too heavy.

I have been after a set like this for ages as I do a lot of fine motor activities at home with my 3 year old to strengthen her hands.

We have used all the scoops in various sensory boxes and even in the bath. We have used them for all kinds of games and activities. My daughter even loves putting the scoops back into the packaging so they all fit into their place - which is actually great for perceptual skills 😂

I really like how the large ball scoop has the same handle as scissors would, and so it is a great way to teach little hands how to assume the scissor grasp, and practice a cutting motion without too much resistance. So you get a lot of practice of the motion without tiring the little hands. It’s great!!

Scoopers broke when used with sand

After a few months both scoopers were broken, with one half of the ball snapping off. The yellow one was impossible to fix, even with epoxy glue. The one with bigger scoops was fixed with glue but then the broken piece came off again. The pincer and pipette are fine. Both breakages happened when scooping sand, so I'd say that this set is ok to use with water but anything dense and it's likely to break.

I was dubious about buying these because of the reviews but I'm glad I did. Yes, some of the tools seem quite flimsy but for the price, they are the best fine motor tools that I have found. They provide decent resistance and are just the right level of difficulty to manoeuvre and use for the children in my class. Plus when they arrived at school and I opened them at lunch tim, the exact right children were fascinated by them when they came in from lunch and have been begging to use them ever since.

I bought these to fulfil a £20 minimum spend to get an add-on item free postage since I was close already but they actually ended up being the star of the show.

Lovely little set for small hands

My toddler really enjoyed figuring out what to do with each one. The tongs is easy to use, I've used ones before that even I found difficult so this one is nice. The water dropper was a real favourite and gives endless fun with water!!

The yellow double scoop was very easy to use, while the coloured scoop takes practice for a toddler as it should. A good learing tool for using a scissors etc. But as other reviews mentioned it is flimsy and broke day 1, I superglued it and it stuck but then the other side broke. Hopefully it will last as it's a much used toy since we got it
