I needed a no-frills mouse mat for casual laptop use (I'm not a PC gamer) and I chose this LeadsaiL mat basically because of the simple black colour and the price, which is great value. The mat was delivered in one of Amazon's A3 cardboard wallets (pictured), which kept it nice and flat, and meant I could use it right away. The surface is slightly shiny but not so much that the mouse feels like it's on a mini ice rink which you can get with some laminated type mats. The rubber base is grippy enough to not move at all on a glass table. I'm very impressed with the quality, particularly the stiching which has no loose threads and gives a nice edge to the mat. It feels comfortable if your wrist is resting against it. It's nice and thin to throw in the laptop bag - I would say about 0.5cm - it doesn't take up hardly any space at all. I don't know what makes this a "gaming" mouse mat particuarly, but anyone looking for a simple moust mat for casual browsing can't go very wrong with this, especially for less than a fiver! Highly recommended.
