We think that’s rather lovely. This set comes with enough glue ingredients to fix several objects, plus two bowls to practice on."
- REPAIR YOUR OWN TREASURED ITEMS: Once you've honed your skills on the practice bowls there should be plenty of glue and gold left to repair a few small or one large ceramic piece.

Hugely disappointed, all style over substance, and hugely over priced too boot.
1. Kintsugi, as a Japanese art form, is not meant to be done too fast. First of all, it should be a zen experience, which you don't get the time for with this kit; you get quite the opposite. It is pretty stressful. Precision is needed to make a quality product, which you don't get the time for with this kit. Which brings me to my second point:
2. It is bad for beginners precisely for the glue that is included. If you are a beginner, you're not going to know how to work with the precision needed with such a quick setting glue, and likely not end up with a quality product. I am very much into art, and I had used superglue before for a lot of projects, so I was more or less okay, but even then, that's not everyone and it wasn't as easy as it should have been.
To be fair, this was more my fault than the kit's, but one of the bowls cracked into too many pieces and I was so focused on gluing it so all pieces would fit, that I decided that it was a good idea to separate two pieces that I already glued. I ended up slashing my wrist.
However, this wouldn't have happened if the glue was a slower drying one.
Long story short: Change the glue.
Important advice...
Do this in a ventilated room. Seriously. Outside if you can. The smell is incredibly strong and I couldn't step in my front room for hours after, even with windows open.
Practice putting the pieces together in the right order. You'll need to work SUPER fast.
Upon reflection, I realised a few things which were inconsistent with this idea:
1) the dish cannot be used again - as the glue cannot be in contact with food. So whilst you have made a mistake - things will never return back to normal again.
2) the glue also harms aquatic life with “long lasting effects”. Which could be viewed as your mistake does not only harm you, but also irreparable damage can be done to others.
3) the glue can also cause serious eye damage and irritation. So not only have you made a mistake...you may not be able to see the same mistake happening again.
So all in all, a pretty pointless task which has lost its meaning.
Decent kit though.

The kit has a generous amount of all the solutions you need.... I'm looking for more things to smash!
I used mine on some 40 year old pottery my granny made. If I were to do it again I would make the surfaces less porous first but that was a flaw in my pot, not the kit.

If you are buying for yourself I would advise separate purchases of glue & powder - far more value for money. As a small gift for someone not particularly creative this set is a good fun sized beginner though.
This kit certainly did do the job though, mending a broken ceramic ornament with thick Kintsugi gold lines, and while I managed to get perfect results first time, it's not necessarily as easy as they suggest. Epoxy resin is very stringy, needs very thorough mixing, and things can get very messy if you're not careful. So, whether a pack of Araldite (six quid or so on Amazon) and some gold coloured dust (available separately on Amazon) would work as a cheaper alternative is anyone's guess but I'm fairly happy with this purchase.
The big negative (apart from the cost) is that (unlike Araldite) this glue absolutely stinks and takes ages to dissipate!
