I bought these kongs to help my 4 month old fox red lab during her teething stage. I made the kongs up with treats in the middle, doggy peanut butter in the top to stop the treats falling out and a chew stick treat to finish off and I froze the kongs. After a few hours I gave my 4 month old fox red lab and my 9 year old black lab the frozen kongs and they LOVED them, these kongs kept both dogs occupied for nearly 2 hours. I have since bought 3 more kongs, now we have 4 that are frozen and 1 spare which the baby lab just has to teeth on and it is used as a toy not a treat. I highly recommend these kongs as they can be given fresh or frozen or just as a play thing without treats. They can also be filled with all sorts of yummy things for your poochies. These kongs also come in different colour, the colours are to suit your dogs age, red is for chewing dogs/teething stage and older. purple is for older dogs like my 9 year old black lab, as she found the red kong a little to hard, the purple one is slightly softer for her old jaw. They also have a kong specially for young puppies.

Freezer kong treats

I bought these kongs to help my 4 month old fox red lab during her teething stage. They were slow to arrive and appear to have no return option but far worse is their lack of resilience. I gave the first to the dog to play with whilst I looked for something to stick inside it, the damage in the picture is the result of me getting distracted and of her spending 10 minutes with it.
They appear easy to clean so got 3 stars for that, value for money and durability are a joke though. If you've got a soft mouthed dog maybe they'll be OK, anything more and they are a waste of money. As a reference, my dog has just about got the jaw power to crack a cooked bone, my other terrier who eats bones for fun would wreck these in no time at all.

Bought these for a 9 month old terrier, she's well past changing her puppy teeth but is by no means a powerful chewer yet. We were fed up with her carting sticks into the house to destroy under the table so these seemed a good option.By Mark on 28 December 2021

Broke after minutes of using!

Our dog has had the Roy for minutes, MINUTES, and the top ball on it is already come clean off. Under normal circumstances I would probably want to try buy one for big dogs in hopes that that would work but at this point I'm a little thorn. I'll be giving her the other one and see if that lasts longer. Would not recommend to a medium dog that likes chewing loads! Get something stronger.
