Ideal for your drone to take off from or land on, however beware of how you open it!!! This should be done at arms length, as it opens as if you were releasing a coiled spring. The first time, I nearly suffered injury to my nose, much to the wife’s amusement. It nearly caught out my brother in law too, despite my warnings. Once open it is great - big enough for my Hubsan Zino Pro. It comes with A bag to keep it in, pegs to secure it to the ground, which are useful and some reflective stickers to help landing at night, which I suspect may peel off when it is folded (although I haven’t tried them). Folding it is awkward at first, but once you’ve managed it a couple of times, it’s okay.

Great item and folds up really small but pops open like the tents of the same sort do! It took a few attempts to see how to get it folded back again, but once you seen how it done then it easy then! (youtube always helpful?) I have found most places I want to fly there never a perfect spot and this makes an ideal flat base especially on grass.

One thing to note is that if you are using the pegs make sure they are all the way in to the ground otherwise they could be in the way of the propellers! Am not sure of the reflective stickers or if I would use them but they there if you want to make it more visible still?

Much bigger then I expected to begin with, which Im really pleased with. Seems good quality although the bag it comes in seems alittle flimsy like it could come apart at the seems with heavy use time will tell.

The pad is supplied with pegs so it can be pegged to the ground, keeping it flat and preventing it from blowing away.
It help prevents dust kicking up during takeoff and landing. It also prevents the rotor blades from hitting anything like grass, sticks, etc.
There’s an orange and blue side. Both appear to be reflective in some way. The drone cameras pick it up clearly which benefits drone features such as precision landing.

I bought this because I own a mavic air,the lens and gimbal are very close to the ground and I often get a gimbal overload warning on my screen just after take off,I’ve found bits of debris and grass in the mechanism which is probably why the warming,I also fly a lot down the beach near to where I live which saves sand also getting whipped up from the rotors,I especially like this landing pad beacuase it feels solid and you can see it from quite a height when manually landing due to its bright colours,my mavic sits nicely on it and it does look pretty cool,well worth it if you own such an expensive drone.
