Quality product and the paper sticks are just as good

I've used this brand for all of my adult life and recently I've seen a lot of people getting upset about the plastic stick being replaced with paper, but I really can't understand why that's the case. Now I understand ithis argument with straws as paper straws just simply aren't as good as plastic straws unfortunately, but there really is no issue here on cotton buds. I've been through several packs of the new type and not one has the paper element been an issue in any way for me - they aren't too flimsy at all and in no way prone to bending any more than the plastics ones were.

Maybe other people are using them in a way I don't understand but for me these are still great - there's plenty of cheap alternatives but, like with baked beans, this is one area where I feel going to an established brand is the best bet. I've used Johnson's Baby Cotton Buds for something like 30 years or more now, and I'll stick with them forever I think as the quality is always fantastic. Some of the cheap supermarket alternatives have been terrible, with the cotton head detaching, the stick bending etc. Pay a little more for the quality here, it's worth it.

No to paper substitutes

No no no! You can save the planet sure in fact charge me more and I will plant some trees but don’t swap the plastic sticks to paper. As if sucking my Diet Coke through a napkin at Mc Donald’s wasn’t enough now I have cotton buds that bend by just looking at them. I tell you next I will be forced to use chopsticks to eat a carvery. 😢

Do not buy these - they are ridiculously bad. They used to be the best on the market and now they are pointless with this new design. I understand that the new paper sticks are more environmentally friendly so that's good, but the cotton bud doesn't hold on the stick now and slides down when you use them. No point buying anymore as they are not fit for the purpose, need a redesign.

Arrived the next. It is very well packaged and sealed for peace of mind. Very cheap especially since it is being delivered - convient. Not that it makes or breaks the product but on the back it says GB, Maidenhead - which is quite local to me. The buds themselves feel just like the ones in the shop and I know some people are all for taking care of the climate and so am I but we can't all be fortunate enough to only buy high end pricey items which more often than not do not get recycled properly or as advertised so let everyone do what they can and not shame others.

I have tried plenty of earbuds on myself, and these are by far the best ones out there. The buds are sufficiently puffy not to scratch your ear, absorbent, and the stem doesn't bend easily.

We normally use this for cleaning the hard to reach areas, especially the ear (the outer-ear and the inner-ear). It is recommended on the tub NOT to use it in the inner-ear]. If you do, be very careful as you can damage your ear-drum. And bare in mind that ear wax is there to help your ears from infections (preventing germs getting in). Removing the ear wax = Not protected= More prone to ear infections. Believe me, ear-infections are really really painful and is something you certainly do not want.

I have always used this product- for more than 15years. I absolutely love this product. I believe Johnson's Cotton Buds are the best cotton buds in terms of it's quality.
I was quite nervous ordering this, after a reviewer stated that the end on the cotton bud was loose. I have never had one cotton bud out of place (the cotton being loose on the end). This product is exactly the same as seen in the supermarket.
It does what it says on the box. High quality.

I get saving the planet With putting the cotton buds in a Box 📦 But putting them on a Card stick instead of the stems they used to be on 😳Big Mistake Because They Not only Bend But the Cotton wool on the end Comes off 🤷🏻‍♀️🤦🏻‍♀️ I don’t know what to suggest to use instead of a card stick but you really need to Go Back to the Drawing Board because as they stand right now are utter Garbage 🤦🏻‍♀️I have added photo’s I can not Believe you passed these cotton buds as Fit For Purpose wouldn’t be so bad if it was the odd one but as shown it’s far more and out of a Box of 200 it’s appalling, at least 18 cotton buds were just a stick either without the cotton buds either end or just the cotton bud one end and not the other 🤯🤦🏻‍♀️

👎😞Buy Bamboo-Stalked Cotton Buds, Not These Flimsy Things!

I have no problem with more environmentally-friendly alternatives to the old plastic-stalked cotton buds, the Johnson & Johnson Q-Tips I grew up with. However, these rolled-paper stalks are not it! They keep crumpling on themselves, and although the cotton tip itself is not bad, compared to other "green" alternatives, I cannot recommend these. Indeed, if like me, you still use these to clean your ears or rub off nail polish errors, applying any pressure can cause them to slip and fold, surely a hazard.

If you want a sturdy-stalked "green" cotton bud, I recommend those with bamboo stalks--plenty of alternatives on Amazon. The bamboo and cotton EcoShoots are particularly attractive. They also come in flatter, more biodegradable cardboard boxes, preferable to these boxy lightly coated cubes.

Given the clearance prices on offer, I'm guessing lots of complaining customers have left retailers with unwanted stock to clear.

A disappointment from a (once) trusted brand.👎😞

I have used these earbuds for many years and will never change they are the perfect balance of quality (never experienced loss of cotton) and flexibility of the shaft (not too firm like hard plastic alternatives) and perfectly sized for the job.
