As always, this is a superb value for money toy from Jaques. This set is made up of 24 giant, chunky chalks and currently costs £4.99. There are 6 colours: Blue, Yellow, Orange, Red, Green, and Purple. There are four of each colour. I have pictured one of the chalks next to my iPhone 13 Pro Max for scale. These chunky chalks are great for little hands to grasp and are perfect for outdoor pictures. They even come in a square plastic container with lid to store them in. Seriously now. At, £4.99, what’s not to like!? Top marks Jaques.

We love chalks, well the kids do and they get through a box like this pretty much once a year. This is a Jaques branded version, but the contents and generic, you find them all over in supermarkets and the like over the summer so they are all of the same quality - nice and chunky, not easy to break and good colour definition. The difference is really only in the branding and packaging. I've seen a few Jaques items recently and they always seem like very good value - these are £5 which is a bit on the pricey side for what are essentially generic chalks but that's comparing with the supermarket - factoring in delivery and time of year they sit somewhere in the middle value-wise.

There are 24 sticks of chalk in the tub. The sticks are big and chunky, and easy for my two year old to hold and draw with. There are 6 different colours included in the set and there's 4 sticks of each colour. I think it's a good both a good choice and selection of colours. There's nearly every colour of the rainbow except Indigo. The chalk creates a strong bold line, and it's also easy to blend too, without being too dusty or crumbly. The chalk washed off our patio with only a quick blast from the garden hose. I think £6.99 as of June 2022 is a good price for both the amount and quailty of chalk. The chalk also comes with a plastic storage box to keep them in.

Good value for the money I really like this idea to have things to do outside with your kids so they don’t spend the time inside and this is a great fun creative way of spending time outside. The talks are giant is it to hold and easy to write they leave a nice mark on the floor on the ground and the colours are really nice and vibrant. For the price I’d say it’s worth it
