About the author

I am a writer of emotional women's fiction and intelligent romance. My books explore the darkness and the light of the human spirit and take you on an emotional journey. My latest novel, My Secret Sister, is a compelling psychological family drama about a mother facing an impossible choice.
My Mother's Silence is a gripping romantic drama about homecoming and family secrets set in the wild Scottish highlands. It was shortlisted for the Jackie Collins Romantic Thriller Award 2020. The Daughter She Lost is a woman's dark journey of self-discovery and overcoming the secrets of the past. My holiday romance Moonlight on the Thames is a love story to classical music and the healing power of love. It was a bestseller in urban fiction and a top 100 Kindle book. My first three novels: Finding Home, Finding Secrets, and Finding Dreams all feature mysterious old houses and intelligent, feisty contemporary heroines who set out to unravel the mysteries of the past.

Amy Wood's situation is all too easy to imagine - perfect life, everything on track and then the next day your single again and back home living with your parents. Disaster! But also a great jumping off point for the story that follows. I've always had a thing for old, mysterious country mansions and Rosemont Hall works perfectly. The story that follows made me laugh, gave me a good mystery and a smile on my face at the end. I won't say any more about the plot, leave it as a surprise.
If you're looking for something to read on the train, the beach or just curl up with and dive into a romantic mystery, I couldn't recommend Finding Home any more.
I'll look forward to Westwood's next book.
Her boyfriend is already there and he's not alone!
What follows is her way of getting her life together again and features some pretty awful colleagues - tell me that all estate agents are not like this! - a wonderful crumbling old mansion that actually takes centre stage in the story and a compelling love story. And some poor decisions by Amy that result in some funny and ridiculous situations. Been there!
Nicely written and good to read.
I'll look for others by Lauren Westwood.
Looking forward to reading the next book in this series this afternoon.
Amy Wood's situation is not unfeasible - a perfect life ripped away in just a few moments leaving her single again and back home living with her parents in a job she doesn't enjoy. The project to save Rosemont Hall is the perfect distraction for both Amy and the readers.
The mystery that runs through the novel really drew me in, and gave the book an edge over other novels in this same romantic genre. It feels much more substantial than some of the fluffy books available. And the dry humour made it a very enjoyable read.
If you're looking for something to read on your commute, at the beach or wherever you need to relax then please buy this. Highly recommended!
I am looking forward to reading Westwood's next book.
