How customer reviews and ratings work
Customer Reviews, including Product Star Ratings, help customers to learn more about the product and decide whether it is the right product for them.
To calculate the overall star rating and percentage breakdown by star, we don’t use a simple average. Instead, our system considers things like how recent a review is and if the reviewer bought the item on Amazon. It also analyses reviews to verify trustworthiness.

Probably one of my best investments in toys

Probably one of my best investments in toys! My son has been playing with them from 6 months and he's still playing with them now at nearly 26 months, in very different ways 😄

These were one of the best things we gave our daughter for Christmas. She plays with them everyday and absolutely loves them! Would go as far as to say they are probably in her top 3 favourite toys. She is almost 13 months.

Today my 6 month old managed to get the entire egg lid of one of these in his mouth, in a way which made it really difficult to remove. (Picture putting an egg or ball in your mouth past your lips snd gums, as far back as it can go) Fortunately I was with him and got it out before he panicked and either started crying or trying to close his mouth. NOT SAFE FOR SMALL CHILDREN even though these say they're from 6 months+. Anyone with a baby knows they put everything in their mouths, I stupudly trusted that a big name like Tomy would have rigorously tested their products for such an obvious safety risk. I learnt the scary and hard way that they don't.

I don't see the hype of this toy. Don't understand how it's been sold that much. I wouldn't buy it again and believe me it will be one of these toys you through out the second you'll decide to do decluttering. Kid just throws it around and that's pretty much it and you'll end up just picking it up. Don't recommend it at all. For the same price you can get waaay much better toy. It's just piece of plastic.

A few little drawbacks, but an excellent addition to the toy box. Colourful, fun and engaging.

Neat little toy for toddlers and younger. It's colourful, interesting and engaging for their young minds and keeps them entertained for a while. It looks just like an egg carton, and each egg with a chick inside fits into its own space.
PROS:
Very colourful and engaging. Each egg has a different facial expression and different coloured chick inside.
Develops fine motor skills. The eggshells fit neatly on top of each chick, the chicks fit into their own space, and the carton closes and locks with a little catch. Each egg has a different shape on the bottom which slots into the corresponding shape in the egg carton.
The chicks 'chirp' when pressed. This is a nice little addition to an otherwise excellent toy.
CONS:
The chicks 'chirp' when pressed down, but it's tricky for little ones to make the sound come out. It takes a solid and rapid press for the noise to be made so some younger children won't be able to do it.
There is a hole and a screw at the bottom of each egg right in the middle of the shape. This is distracting for little ones as they see a heart or a square with a hole cut out in the middle of it. This is a major design fault in my opinion because the shapes at the bottom of the eggs correspond with the shapes in the carton and the little one finds it difficult to identify the shape with a hole in it.
The catch on the carton is very tricky to open (even for myself!) My two-year-old can't open it herself, and so always brings it to me to open. This should be made slightly easier to open.
OVERALL:
This is an excellent toy for the price. Even though there are a few drawbacks (which could be easily rectified by the manufacturer) it's certainly a worthwhile toy to have. We spend a long time playing with it sorting out the shapes, fitting the shells to the eggs and role playing with the chicks. I would buy this again and would certainly purchase it as a gift for a friend with a young child.

I bought this lovely toy for my baby granddaughter, I had previously bought it for my now 17 yr old Grandson when he was a baby. So I knew already that it was a good toy to buy, a tad more expensive than it was all those yrs ago from our local toy shop but since she loves it as much as he did you cant put a price on joy!

My 8 month old LOVES these (and has since we bought them when he was 5 months or so). In amongst a sea of other toys that he’s shown little interest in, he’ll go straight for these every time.
He loves to chew on them and he plays with both the eggs and the box. The egg shells seem a bit sharp for him to chew on and he has got a bit frustrated with them whilst he’s been teething, but he’s never hurt himself on them so I think they’re fine.
I’m not sure why he loves them... but he does! 🤷🏼♀️
Downside - you’ll have plastic eggs and eggshells sprayed across the living room floor every single day.

Bargain! Great little toy that I can shove in our baby bag and keep my son entertained with.
The squeak is more from friction so not really a squeak perse but every month milestone I buy my son a new toy, I bought him this for his 6 month milestone and he uses it frequently.
We also have one at nursery and the children in the toddlers and preschool use it for colour and shape matching for £7 it’s great, I mean what can you get for £7 these days?
I thought the case would be flimsy but it’s quite thick hardwearing plastic
