“Mark Edwards always delivers! Taut, gripping, scary and original - a fabulous read!”—Robert Bryndza, #1 Wall Street Journal bestselling author
A beautiful home. A loving wife. And in-laws to die for.
Gemma Robinson comes into Elliot’s life like a whirlwind, and they marry and settle into his home. When she asks him if her parents can come to stay for a couple of weeks, he is keen to oblige – he just doesn’t quite know what he’s signing up for.
The Robinsons arrive with Gemma’s sister, Chloe, a mysterious young woman who refuses to speak or leave her room. Elliot starts to suspect that the Robinsons are hiding a dark secret. And then there are the scars on his wife’s body that she won’t talk about…
As Elliot’s in-laws become more comfortable in his home, encroaching on all aspects of his life, it becomes clear that they have no intention of moving out. To protect Gemma, and their marriage, Elliot delves into the Robinsons’ past. But is he prepared for the truth?
From the two million copy bestselling author comes a tale about the chilling consequences of welcoming strangers into your home.

From the Publisher
At first, the situation is convivial. The Robinsons have their quirks, but then again, so does everyone. A dirty plate in the sink or a wet towel left on the bathroom floor is surely no cause for concern. But then, the Robinsons’ behaviour becomes alarming, and Elliot cannot help but feel they are harbouring a dark secret. Gemma’s sister, Chloe, a ghostly presence in the house, refuses to speak. Gemma refuses to explain the scars on her body. When Elliot’s friends and neighbours begin to be affected, he knows that in order to protect the ones he loves the most, he will need to delve into the Robinsons’ past. But is he ready for the truth?
Here to Stay is a story that will make you think twice about the secrets that lie behind closed doors and about how well you can ever really know the ones you love. I tore through the pages, wanting to discover the skeletons lingering in the Robinsons’ closet, and I was not disappointed. The ending left me breathless.

It's an appalling book, full of 'stock' characters that have escaped from a third rate sitcom, with a 'hero' so pathetically weak and the most unbelievable cliche 'baddies' .
At least the cat survived this drivel.
Brilliant and would recommend to anyone looking for a thrilling page turner.
However, I did find the end chapters a bit frenetic and, at times, a little unbelievable- ‘lost the plot’ comes to mind. Also some of the characters just faded off the scene. It seems that a sequel is needed to re-thread the loose ends and I look forward to reading it.
