Had to leave a review for this because as silly as it may sound, it has changed my life. Daughter is 12 months old and always been a very unsettled baby. The hardest part was the waking anywhere from 5am to get up for the day. Once baby was awake the whole house was, including my 4 year old, which was a big problem. Came across this and decided to give it a try. I didn't want her to get used to going to sleep and sleeping all night with the white noise so I set the white noise to come on quietly at 4.45am every morning. Honestly, it's worked miracles. Daughter has not woken up before 7am since we started using this. Sometimes 8am. There may have been Outside noise that was causing the early waking, I'm not sure, but whatever it was this (touch wood) has been well worth the investment and seems to have solved what seemed impossible. Really pleased so far!

Our LO loves a sound machine, we have the snuz cloud, Ewan the dream sheep and the marpac hushh the only problem is that we needed the sound machine on constantly - both Ewan and snuz cloud only play for 20 min (even with the auto setting on Ewan that comes on when the baby cries or makes a noise, it’s too late by that point, he’s already awake) also with the auto Ewan settings we were changing batteries every 2 weeks!
The marpac hush needs to be charged constantly so that was a no go and settings are limited 3 different noise settings - none are particularly good.
THIS on the other has is a dream come true! Not only is this a noise machine that stays on for as long as you like, but a nightlight too! It can be set to your babies preferences and adjusted all on your phone which is a godsend!
Honestly, yes the price tag is hefty but it is well worth it! It looks and feels more expensive than it is which is always a bonus.
I would give this 100 stars if I could!

Initially I bought a cheap white noise maker, then when I realised what a huge asset it was having a newborn I caved and spent the money on a hatch! I Love it, it does its job but there is definitely room for improvement.

There are a few really annoying glitches that make me crazy (phone takes ages to find it sometimes - and every time you go out of the app it loses it immediately so if you are using another app simultaneously like Huckleberry you have to keep waiting for it to find the hatch again! About every three days when I walk in to put my baby in her crib, I open the app and it has logged me out - not only is this highly annoying but for some reason it doesn’t offer face recognition or fingerprint ID to log back in and doesn’t even auto fill my login details - obviously trying to enter all of that with a freshly calmed baby in your arms is not ideal!! You can’t customise the names of your favourites so you end up having to memorise what colour is for what setting!)

If these things were sorted out I would give this product six stars!

I have 4 kids and I only found this lamp on having my last child, oh how I wish I could have found it before. For me it helps so much when putting the little ones to bed when the older ones are still up making noise. The settings let me set a background sound that muffles the noise the other kids make to help my little one fall soundly asleep and stay asleep.
It really is worth the money. After many failed buys, this is the the one that actually works.

This is a must buy for most parents! Our baby has had this hatch from almost the very beginning. We had a different brand item similar but was no where near as good. Our 4 month old sleeps through the night easily with this. (Will also send you to sleep!)

Pros:
- The app is very handy especially if you're holding the baby and forget to turn it on. Most people have their phones near so you can turn it on without getting up. This is probably one of the best features.
- volume and sound quality is better than most.
- looks and feels top quality.
- can be used for years to come.

Cons:
- the app when I first installed was abit temperamental with connecting to the hatch but seems to work fine now. Just stick with it if you have connectivity problems because it does eventually sort itself out.

Would definitely recommend!

I never write a review but I felt I had to! This is a game changer! A life saver! It’s just such a smart and brilliant piece of kit. I am annoyed I didn’t buy it sooner. To be able to turn the white noise up or down during the night to help baby fall asleep all from the comfort of my own bed is amazing. I love the lullabies, the sounds of birds she now wakes up to and the light brightness is great. This product is a must have if you have kids. It’s fantastic.

Bought this 09/12/21 and just over 1 month later on 12/01/22 it no longer works. It’s on the app is connected to it and there is the barely audible electrical feedback noise if you put the speaker right to your ear, but it no longer makes noise, lights, buttons via app or via unit make it work.
However the buttons on the unit and app are talking to each other the app changes when you press next on the unit. It’s just as if the light and speaker have conked out. Which for a fairly pricey product is really quite poor. Trying to return but I don’t have the box anymore so will see how that pans out! Was great before it stopped working though 👍🏻
Updated to add I have since contacted Hatch customer support (Colin & Amber) and they both couldn’t have been more helpful if they tried. Speedy responses and clear concise info.
I must have got a fluke one and I’m just waiting for my refund to repurchase. And don’t think we’ll get through the 4 month sleep regression without it.

Don’t bother - broke after 9 months use

I would not mind paying a steep price for this sound machine if it lasted. But it has broken after only 9 months use - the sound cuts out in the middle of the night leading to a wide awake baby and very unhappy mummy! Hatch customer service were useless - expecting me to pay for a replacement charging cable (£15) with no certainty that it would fix the issue. Or expecting me to buy a whole new sound machine. Save your money and go elsewhere. Or buy for a company that actually honours its warranty period!
