How customer reviews and ratings work
Customer Reviews, including Product Star Ratings, help customers to learn more about the product and decide whether it is the right product for them.
To calculate the overall star rating and percentage breakdown by star, we don’t use a simple average. Instead, our system considers things like how recent a review is and if the reviewer bought the item on Amazon. It also analyses reviews to verify trustworthiness.

Actually it has more space than advertised 982 GB, it is 1.05 TB. But if it's a really flash memory it has to be faster than a traditional portable 2.5'' Hard Drive, right?I tried to copy a folder with 16,71 GB of videos from my computer. It took 3 minutes to copy the folder to a LaCie External HD. The exact same folder took 38 minutes to copy to this memory stick. 13x longer, I felt myself in the 80's. The exact same files were copied to a Crucial X8 external ssd disk (1050 MB/s) in 13 seconds. So if you work with big files like videos or raw photos it is totally useless. If you are looking for a pen drive to keep your word files and documents it may work for you.A lot of space for little price but don't expect performance.

I'm old enough to remember when this size storage would have been the size of a house so it's quite the novelty having 1tb of storage(well close enough) the size of a proper chip.
The drive itself is a solid piece of metal, which shows as the stated size and when transferring a ⁴⁵gb file it did it with a solid 19mb a second . Filled up it offers fast access to given files with no corruption.
The keyring loops handy too. I love that I have this much portable space, when 1mb used to need a horse trailer. Worth having without doubt

These look great 1tb in a small keyfob, but are too good to be true. Transfering to them takes forever and files just dissapear, abosulte waste of time and money, basically faulty goods

I thought this might be useful as a one-stop backup for files and photos and stuff like that. It's useless. It gets VERY hot after about a minute - a small child could get burnt by it. Meanwhile, it keeps disconnecting itself from the computer(s), and so interrupts any file transfers. This means you have to keep taking it in and out. Then, when the files are transferred...they just vanish. I thought it was my laptop doing weird things until I read that the same things are happening to other buyers. I'm now returning it for a refund. A 1TB usb drive sounds great, but save yourself the money!

This USD does work but and this is a big but. 90% of my video file corrupted, I tried reformatting, different file types, you name it, I tried it. Always corrupted. Tried the same tests on another sandisk usb I have, worked every time.
I personally wouldnt trust this with anything important. I returned this and got a Tcell 512gb. Works sooo much better and 3 times the speed.

I tried to use them to store music files (mp3 & wma). When I copied data onto the flash drive all seemed well until half an hour later when vast swathes of data simply weren't there anymore. Weird. Returned therefore. I need to spend more on an SSD drive.

I purchased this device to record programs on mu LG OLED TV. Although the device worked perfectly with my PC it was incompatible with the TV, hence the score. It arrives formatted exFAT the TV requires NTFS but unfortunately even after reformatting the stick the TV wouldn't record, I tested the TV using another disk and it worked perfectly so the problem was definitely with the memory stick. Had I have purchased it for my PC I would have given it a 5 although it does run a little warm.
