Awful neck fastenings

The apron itself is adequate for having your hair done at home, but the clips on the neck are so cheap and nasty. They’re fiddly and sharp, and frankly spoil the whole apron. If I didn’t need it desperately I’d send it back, as it is I will be looking at finding a solution to this by means of another way of fastening it.

I bought this for occasional use at home; due to covid I've been cutting my son's hair. This does a good job of covering him up, it fastens easily round the neck. No idea how long it will last, it doesn't feel robust enough for very regular use, but for occasional use it's fine so far.

Cape material okay, nice thickness to it.
Unfortunately it doesn't fasten as the hooks used (a) don't fit together & (b) aren't sewn on correctly. Fortunately I have seen tape on as wasn't wasting my time
sewing them on correctly when they don't even fit together correctly.
Don't waste your money unless you're good with a sewing machine or needle & thread!

I don't know if we were just unlucky, but on the collar fitment at both ends 'our' cape had the same type of hook fitted, where there should have been hook, and receiver. Even if one turned one end upside down, there is no satisfactory fit, and it falls apart. We've decided to keep the cape as otherwise it's OK for the price, but the manufacturer needs to be advised, as you, Amazon potentially could be getting a lot of returns.
