They come packaged in a little silver box which looks like it should store mints. I have no doubt this box did store mints at one point as when I opened up the box, I could smell mints (Yay for recyclying!).
I'm not a good guitar player so I'm not in a position to say how these compare to other brands. To me, a pick is a pick, so I am really happy with the purchase.

The only reason for deducting one star is the extremely strong medicinal smell – that sort of strong decongestant type smell that others described a menthol. Soaked in soapy water did help to tone it down a bit but the smell is still there and especially noticeable if you close the box for any length of time!
The only other negative is the sticker on the back of the tin which isn’t easy peel leaving you to again scrub it with soapy water to get rid to the stickiness after removing it.
Whilst it doesn’t matter to me, the other thing to note is that a given colour is used for different sizes and a given size can have a mix of colours – see the photo attached to this review for an example of what came in my box.

The colours you receive will likely be different depending on your luck but here we go:
The Plectrums come loose in a likely recycled Mint-tin (good use for them).
When first opening the tin you'll notice a very specific and strong smell, many have called this bleach but its actually the smell of "Celluloid" which is a mix of Nitrocellulose and Camphor the smell is so strong because these likely come straight off the production line and so never had time to air out, its fine wash them if you really want to but it shouldn't cause you any problems as long as you keep celluloid under 150°C, Older guitar players will know this smell right away I'd hope.
With the smell questions out of the way, what do you get?
You get 8 plectrums of each thickness in a random assortment of colours for a total 48 plectrums.
The thicknesses of these will be: 0.46mm, 0.58mm, 0.71mm, 0.84mm, 0.96mm and 1.2mm
I will attach a picture showing exactly what I received.
All in all, they're pretty standard for the price and I don't think you can go wrong with these assuming the production doesn't change too much.

One thing to note is that the colours are duplicated, each colour is used for two different thicknesses, so you can’t rely of the colour of the pick to determine thickness. For me, this is isn’t really an issue, but it may be for some.
As for the smell, yes, they stink, but if you don’t keep sticking your nose in the tin to sniff them, it really isn’t a problem. I never bothered to wash mine and the smell gradually faded, mostly...
I read all lot the critical reviews of these picks before buying. A lot of people complained about the smell - yes, there is a smell, but that’s quite normal with the manufacture process of plastics - the smell was gone after just 24 hours.
A lot of people also complained about the sticker on the back of the box - yes, it is an issue, but not a huge issue. The sticker, and all the glue, will come off with warm soapy water, or meths, or white spirit, or nail varnish remover... etc
Also, I’d only ever played with 0.46mm picks before and was surprised to see that using different thickness picks makes quite a big difference to the sound and to how easy it is to play
