Useful if you also have a stock room, full of stuffs but without a light in...it comes with 2 head torches and batteries are included, the quality looks good and the price is reasonable.
But I firstly used it outdoor as I finished work a little late on that day and it was getting dark. I didn’t had front light for my bicycle and remembered I had this head torch in my bag. I managed to tie the band to the handle bar (please don’t copy me, it was only for temporary use and I believe it is not particularly safe for cycler), when I reach the street that without bright street lamp, I realised the head torch is actually quite bright!
I was even more surprised when I see how bright this head torch is when I used it in my stock room the other day! The elastic band is soft & wide, so quite comfortable to wear.

These head-lamps are small, relatively light, have three modes of operation (bright/less bright/strobe), and work very well.
They come with two AAA batteries fitted (in each one) but these did not last very long when used on the 'bright' setting; maybe the Duracell ones I replaced them with will last longer.
This setting is good for walking about and I use the 'less bright' setting for reading. The 'strobe' setting is, I assume, to attract attention in an emergency.
Each setting is obtained by repeated presses of the large rubber button underneath which seems a little difficult to locate as it feels like part of the lamp body.
Switching off requires pressing the button 3 times from 'bright', twice from 'less bright' and once from strobe which sounds awkward but it's no problem in reality.
The strap is adjustable but may be a bit tight for those with larger heads.
They work well enough and the fact you get 2 for only a few pounds makes them good value and I can recommend them on that basis.

I mainly use this light around my garden at night in an unlit country area. It's a great improvement on my 20 year old technology equivalent type. The light itself is bright with a nice even spread over quite a wide area, as against the old concentrated spot in one place, and I find that it makes my job much easier as a consequence. I'll qualify that by saying I only need to move my eyes now instead of my whole head as hitherto - much more natural. The quality is good and I have no regrets about buying this brand so far.

I can’t comment on long term durability as I’ve only just got them, but they seem durable and comfortable enough. Excellent when backed up with a more powerful hand-torch for night-walking, or used alone for close work (under the bonnet of a car or under the floor) where you don’t want the glare from a blindingly bright light. Very chuffed and very quickly delivered...

I bought this Head Torch for close up work.
My expectations were not that high as I've bought several other makes of head torches before, one of which actually worked, once.
This Head Torch is in a class of its own.
The head band is easily adjusted to fit and is of good quality.
The LEDs have different settings you can choose from by merely pressing the huge orange on/off button.
This Head Torch also has a tilt adjustable fitting that is positive to touch and it clicks so you can tilt it while wearing the Head Torch.
The LEDs are bright and give a powerful illumination.
On top of all this you get two of them complete with batteries.
The only problem I have had with the Head Torch is that it is so comfortable to wear I forget I'm wearing it.
I recommend the Gritin Head Torch without any hesitation. It's little wonder that it's also Amazon's Choice.

Did they work, most importamt - Yes. I was looking for a simple battery operated headlamp for illuminating those dark spaces you get in tight areas such as on a car, under sinks etc and these seem to fit the bill. I got so fed up with handling torches and trying to get a low powered lead lamp to stay in position that I thought blow this for a game of soldiers I need to keep my hands free when working and finally got this pair of headlamps. Should have done it ages ago I guess.

They do spread a wide beam so you wont get an intense focused light. They come with batteries which is good. Was a bit worried about did they have any sort of adjustment for angle - yes they do. It's a simple plastic rachet arrangement so one can get a degree of movement up and down for the light but the rachet might prove to be a weak point. Time will tell.

How long the batteries last will become clear. I guess they will be sort of ok for walking at night but at just 100 lumens maybe something a shade more powerful would be a better choice. If you want them for reading while seated at night by a camp fire ... I suppose so. I recall seeing headlamps advertised at 50,000 lumens ... err well fine if you don't mind doing an impression of a lighthouse.

They are as simple as you can get for a headlamp. So for what I wanted them for they should just about do and at first sight I'll say 4 stars. Good value for money as you get 2 pairs and batteries. I would recommend them as a work lamp for confined dark areas. Possibly for walking at night ( just to see where you are going ) but not I think for running or cycling as something more powerful would be advisable.
