I bought a cheap webcam found the image quality was poor. I thought if only I could use the camera on my phone... well it's turns out someone has thought of this and invented a phone holder. I'm writing this review within minutes of opening the package. I found the installation easy and I was pleasantly surprised about build quality. I have used the android app called 'droidcam' to link my smartphone camera with my desktop pc. It works really well. I've tested on Bluejeans, will try an Zoom. If it works on one, it should work on all video conferencing apps. This was not the cheapest phone holder at just a few pounds more I am, so far, very happy

Very strong, limited adjustments

The gooseneck is extremely stiff, needing two hands to shape it. But that's a good thing, in that it's not going to collapse or get knocked out of position. FIxing to the desk is easy and ergonomic, as is the operation of the clamp to hold the phone.

The disadvantage is that there is only one direction of movement in the clamp: rotation, enabling you to easily get the phone exactly horizontal or vertical. What would have been really useful (at least for my purposes) is some side-to-side and up-down movemen (in the other two dimensions), to change the angle of the device without having to wrestle with the gooseneck.

I'm using it to hold a camera (a small video camera used as a webcam), not a phone. The clamp holds the camera sideways, so the rotation of the clamp enables pointing it up or down, but not sideways (I need to manhandle the gooseneck to do that).

By the way, the grey rubber collars at either end of the gooseneck have no functional purpose, they are merely a design feature. You either think they are cool, or a little silly.

very hard to bend and move the neck itself - you actually need good enough power to move it around... dunno how my wife will use it as I brought it for her ... overall make and sturdiness is there and its good quality - could have been a Lil cheaper as other competitors on amazon are selling for less ... overall out of 5 I will give 2 or 2.5 max only reasons being the neck is very hard and stiff to move around considering its the main function of this product.
