The wonderful summer weather is the last thing on Jo Ramsey's mind.
She’s retiring from forty years with the same company to suddenly face life alone and without a purpose. Where did the decades go! And how has she not made a brilliant life outside of work?
But then she meets a bunch of seniors dressed in crazy costumes in the park – the Golden Oldies’ Club!
For Jo, their take on life is to be avoided at all costs. But might they be just what she needs to start living again?
Of course, handsome retired actor Owen being a member has no bearing on whether she joins, right?
Perfect for fans of Judy Leigh, Maddie Please, Dee Macdonald, and the Richard & Judy Book Club.

About the author

British author Mark Daydy writes warm, funny, feel-good stories about relatable characters facing surprises and complications as they try to change their lives.
His novels celebrate the things we care about most: life, love, family, friends, fresh starts and second chances – all of which have a habit of disrupting the best laid plans...
If that sounds like your kind of thing, you’re not alone. His entertaining story of new beginnings, ‘Olivia Holmes Has Inherited A Vineyard’, was an Amazon UK best seller.
Mark has 25 years' experience writing for radio and TV (successes span a BBC Radio 4 sitcom to three years as a regular writer on Channel 4’s ‘The Big Breakfast’). He’s also penned 130+ short film scripts for clients such as the United Nations, the World Health Organization, Amnesty International, US AID, and the UK's National Health Service.
He’s a busy writer, but away from his desk you’ll find him reading, walking, listening to music or attempting to be a gardener.
Mark also writes children's books which are illustrated by his grown-up son, Mike. Mark’s children’s TV credits include Shaun the Sheep, Chuggington, Thomas & Friends, Pinky & Perky, 3rd & Bird, and Basil Brush.
