Pros: With practice, perseverance and considerable effort it does actually blend food.

Cons: To operate it you have to place a floppy rubber washer in the base of the jug then screw the cutting unit in by pushing down hard and using considerable force (remember to screw in the WRONG direction). You will need really strong hands to screw it tight enough and if you fail to do so, the glass container will leak and the water will go into the base unit. In the base unit there is a hole that leads to the work surface, so it seems the manufacturers realise this is likely to happen.
I have strong hands but it is quite difficult getting the cutting unit out as there are only some quite small flanges to try and grip.
It has 5 speeds, which is quite unnecessary.
The worst blender I have ever used.

Fairly pleased with this blender, so far.
It copes well crushing ice cubes & the lid is sealed tight with a rubber sealant round the rim, so no risk of mess & you don’t need to press down, nor hold the lid on whilst blending = perfect for people with hand/wrist/arm issues etc.
However, be aware that the jug is glass & not plastic, which makes it relatively heavy to lift & hold/pour.
The glass jug makes it more durable & it feels like a good quality machine.
I do wish the lead was longer though!

I bought a small portable blender a few months ago. I found it very useful and ended up using it more than I had expected to. However, I started baking again and found that I really needed a larger blender. I chose a glass blender rather than a plastic one, feeling this would be sturdier and longer lasting. Glass is, of course, also more environmentally friendly than plastic. I also wanted a blender with a reasonably powerful motor. This blender seemed to meet my needs and was reasonably priced. I now use it a few times every week. It is great for blending ripe bananas when I make banana bread. Like my small blender, this larger blender is a bit of a pain to clean. The easiest way I have found is to half fill it with hot water, add a tiny amount of washing up liquid and then switch it on. Blend for a minute or so - you will get a lot of foam - and then empty and rinse thoroughly.

Was a bit sceptical at first buying a blender online but I absolutely love this blender and very satisfied with my purchase. I was very surprised with how heavy the jug was, it is full glass and that makes it very sturdy. So far I noticed the blade is pretty sharp and there is a lot of speed settings and I'm able to get everything blend very quick. My favourite feature was that the lid has an optional opening that allows me to add stuff while it's blending or without having to open the whole lid. Best part- doesn't take up too much space!
Very happy with the service as well cause they dispatched promptly! Would definitely suggest this to others looking for a long term sturdy blender.

I bought this primarily for blending home made soups but it’s rather wasted on just them. It has a good capacity glass jug (a tad heavy when full but doesn’t hold food smells afterwards) and simple attachment system to the base. The variable speed control and pulse feature work perfectly. I’ve also used it to make humous and cashew milk and it made light work of each task. It also looks very sleek with its stainless steel base unit. I find it easy to wash, adding hot water and (very little) washing up liquid to the jug straight after use and running the motor briefly. Then a quick rinse and leave to air dry. I haven’t been able to dismantle it for cleaning as detailed in the instructions but I haven’t found the need to. Very pleased with my purchase.
