Customer Reviews, including Product Star Ratings, help customers to learn more about the product and decide whether it is the right product for them.
To calculate the overall star rating and percentage breakdown by star, we don’t use a simple average. Instead, our system considers things like how recent a review is and if the reviewer bought the item on Amazon. It also analyses reviews to verify trustworthiness.

Only after it arrived 2 days later, and after applying it liberally to the affected area - did I see a big bold google warning NOT TO PUT CREAM ON INFECTED PEIRCINGS. Great I thought, now I’m going to die.
So I applied a little bit more to speed up the inevitable, and to my total shock horror - google was wrong; By the very next day the pain had completely subsided and by later on in the evening the pus-crustiness had vanished. After 2 days of application in the morning and evening the infection has cleared up.
Without Germoline I wouldn’t be alive today, it’s miraculous
Used on my cat after he was bitten by another cat and developed a small abcess during the covid lockdown and vets would only see pets in 'urgent' need of medical care. I would never ordinarily do so as it feels extremely wrong fiddling about with something they quite frankly should be seeing a vet for, but out of desperation I had to lance the abcess to stop it popping under his skin and potentially making him poorly! Having shaved the area this appeared to numb it well and I don't think he was in too much distress whilst I did it. I applied continuously to the area for several days afterwards to keep it nice and clean and put a cone of shame on to stop him licking and I'm relieved to say that it has now been healed completely for several weeks.
Happy that it helped the little fella not end up needing 'urgent care' during these difficult times.
I will certainly always be keeping a tube in my - human - first aid kit from now on, with the hope that I never need to use it for such cat related purposes again!
Thanks! 🐱

A brilliant antiseptic cream; easy to apply, quickly absorbed into the skin and fast drying.
I know some people aren’t fond of the scent (it’s very distinctive), personally I like it, it reminds me of my childhood (and grazed knees!).
Excellent value for money. I’ve looked in a few shops for this product, but haven’t found it cheaper anywhere else.
Thank you for taking the time to read my review. I hope you found it helpful.
It’s reassuring to know that this product has a long shelf life - so mine is good for another two and a half years. The manufacturer prints the use by date on the end of the box, and also stamps it into the tube crimp. At the time of my review this 30g tube cost only £1, a bargain as far as I’m concerned, which is why I ordered two tubes in order to make up a £20 Amazon order and receive free delivery. Anyway, thanks for checking out my review, I hope you found it of use.

Has local anaesthetic in it but it doesn't sting me and I don't feel my wound go numb but I think it certainly helps with the pain in a subtle and bearable way.
