I have nothing but praise for this book and this woman! I absolutely loved Daisy's first book and used her 5-minute games with my then 3 year old regularly. This second book is out just in the nick of time as my daughter starts school in September. As a teacher (though currently tutoring outside of the classroom), I can tell that this resource is going to be invaluable for parents and teachers navigating those early years of school to do so with confidence. Despite years teaching in KS2, the Early Years and Phonics was a bit of an enigma to me. I am so grateful to Daisy for creating this easy-to-access book and will definitely be using it in for lessons for my tutoring too! 5 STARS! *****

Follow Daisy on social media so knew the sort of games to expect but this could be read as a complete newcomer and still makes sense. The book is laid out in to easy to follow and access sections, terminology is explained in easy to understand terms.
The games are fun and can be adapted to suit different ages (I would say up to about 7 depending on ability) and use equipment that most parents of young children will have around their home.
Now if you could write a book for teenagers Daisy I would be eternally grateful : )

I absolutely loved Daisy's first book, and it was a total lifesaver during lockdown with my little boy last year. He starts school in September and so this book is perfectly timed for us. I love how it covers everything related to starting school, from phonics and numbers, to kids' emotional needs and practical tips for managing them. It also includes special educational needs as well, which is brilliant. Like Daisy's first book, this book is very accessible and easy to use. I'd say I was Daisy's number 1 fan but she probably has 1000s of number 1 fans! Her books are so easy to use, the activities do exactly what they say on the tin and my daughter loves them. I've I've set something up she always wants to know what other activities are set up (so I have to set up 3 or 4 at a time...Good job they only take 5 minutes to create). I'm a secondary school teacher so this has been great to open up the worlds of early years and primary to me.
