How customer reviews and ratings work
Customer Reviews, including Product Star Ratings, help customers to learn more about the product and decide whether it is the right product for them.
To calculate the overall star rating and percentage breakdown by star, we don’t use a simple average. Instead, our system considers things like how recent a review is and if the reviewer bought the item on Amazon. It also analyses reviews to verify trustworthiness.

He's used to getting all the attention and love from the family
Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 8 September 2017
I have a 4 year old male cat who's always had the run of the house. He's used to getting all the attention and love from the family. So unsurprisingly, when I bought a female kitten into the home he was less than happy. Constantly hissing and wanted to fight. I followed all the rules of bringing in a new cat but still, he wouldn't adapt. This was my last hope. With this, and continuing the other stuff I was originally trying ( scent transfer and keeping them seperate but letting them meet for periods of time) my two cats are now good friends. I truly believe that it was this that changed it all. They are now both allowed to roam the house freely. The snuggle up together and play with eachother.

I used Feliway some years ago when my then cat started to over-wash her back legs and the Vet said it was likely to be stress. I bought several of them on the Vet's advice and they did absolutely nothing to help. In terms of helping to resolve the problem, I'd have had more success trying to distract her with learning basic Calculus.
This time around I have been trying to introduce a new cat into my home, where the resident moggy has lived with me for 3 years. Although there hasn't been an all-out frontal assault with heavy weaponry, my existing cat has been none too pleased about the invasion of his personal hotel and there have been some bouts of fisticuffs. When Feliway was mentioned I rolled my eyes and recalled all the cash I'd wasted before. "No, no - this is one specifically designed to help resolve conflict between cats," I was told. So, I parted with cash again, got this unit, plugged it in and waited for a state of feline Zen to descend upon my home. I am still waiting.
I put it in a common area, in the belief that both parties would get a niff of these mystical pheromones, take the boxing gloves off and start to chill. I would have had more luck had I taken my cash and approached that strange guy I've seen in the pub and asked for something 'herbal' to leave smouldering in the room. The behaviour of both cats changed not one little bit and they still get their handbags out at every opportunity. The snarling, the growling and anger are still apparent and that's just me thinking about wasting money on this thing - the cats are still the same as well.

I have 3 rescue cats with distinct personalities.
TinkerStinks - female, around 3 ish, aloof, distant, grumpy
Lumos - male, 1 year old, loving yet anxious, nervous and on edge also not all that bright
Penny Dreadful - female, 5 months old, very small, curious, into everything, talkative, naughty, needy
After New Year when someone let off something that sounded like a small bomb outside our house, Lumos has been a wreck. Unfortunately, this changed the dynamic between the 3 cats. He had been the one that TinkerStinks could boss around and Penny Dreadful could play with. Therefore, the 2 girls tolerated each other, but stayed apart. Lumos became more nervous than ever. Would not eat unless I fed him personally, hid all day, off like a rocket at the slightest noise. This resulted in the girls being forced to acknowledge each other, which resulted in all round grumpiness and moodiness.
I started Lumos on some herbal calming tablets which helped, but the girls were still being cowbags, so I decided to get two of these, one for the landing upstairs and one for the living room downstairs.
Within 24 hours, the difference was incredible. Personalities now are:
TinkerStinks - loving, sweet and friendly (most of the time)
Lumos - Tolerant of some noise, playing and snuggling with the other two
Penny Dreadful - No change.
I think there is no change in PD simply because she is a Holy terror. She must have constant attention/cuddles and she must investigate every single thing, resulting in breakages and damages.

We used two of this product as directed to facilitate the introductions of two kittens to a two older cats, having lost a cat to kidney disease. After a few days of use one of our older cats started showing similar symptoms to the cat who died, a lack of appetite not drinking staring into space and not moving from one spot for nearly a day, we were incredibly distraught and on the verge of taking her to the vet when after doing some research found several comments implying that Feliway can have multiple adverse side effects, we immediately unplugged both devices and the next day the cat was well on the way.to being her old self and two days later was fine. I can not not recommend this product for long term use based on my experience because of the stress caused to myself and the potential fatal harm that could have come to my cat from not eating or drinking.

I bought this on advice from my vet as one of my Bengals was starting to “bully” his step brother and was becoming very aggressive. It got so bad that we were seriously thinking we would have to rehome him and split them up for good which we really didn’t want to have to do. It was a stressful household for all. Well although he hasn’t calmed done completely his behaviour is so much better and he has gone back to being a much more friendly well rounded cat. He still has his moments to be aggressive but no where near as often as before and now they “play together” far more. I am coming up to one month of using this and will need a refill soon which I will happily get. We no longer think about having to rehome him, and our other cat seems much happier too. This really has helped us out massively

My cats tend to fight a bit on an evening, what starts with play fighting soon turns into a full blown battle. Since trying this plugin I've definitely noticed a difference. I got it when we moved into a new house to see if it would put them at ease a bit, it really seems to have helped. I've now actually bought another one as our house splits onto 3 levels and I don't know if it's in my mind but I seem to notice a difference when they're upstairs so I've plugged a second one upstairs and now they're much calmer. I've not tried the normal Feliway plugin so not sure how it compares but I'd definitely recommend people to try this one if you have some unhappy cats.
