So impressed by this book! Our Grandson loved it. He is only 4 but already has a wide knowledge of dinosaurs! We loved the book when it arrived but seeing our Grandson explore it properly (there are lift up flaps on most pages with smaller 3D dinosaur inserts that augment the huge pop up dinosaurs) we knew that we had made the right choice. Well written and informative and our Grandson loved the slightly gruesome sight of one dinosaur eating another! I'm not sure how well the pop up 3D figures will weather but feel it will be a favourite on the bookshelf for a very long time.

I was initially concerned surrounding the price of this book and how many very intricate and thin/tiny pop ups it had that I presumed would break instantly. Upon arrival I couldn’t recommend it more it’s so sturdy and magnificent. Bought it as a gift for a younger child but just about every family member and friend has asked to see it it’s mesmerising even to adults!

Bought this book for a 2 year old but fully aware that due to no product fault adult supervision will be needed to keep it in a decent condition.

Pros:
+ very well made, sturdy
+ good value for money (many many pop ups)
+ good variety of unique pop ups and layouts
+ no breaks yet and the pages and pop ups look thick enough and well secured that breakages shouldn’t be too common

Cons:
- none!

If you are buying this for a child, be aware that it is beautiful but incredibly complex and fragile. The pop-ups are complex and don’t always easily fold away when you turn the page. I don’t think it would last a day in the hands of most children. As other reviewers have noted, though, this is truly a work of art. The quality of the pop-up elements is mind boggling and the little facts throughout are an interesting mix of basic dinosaur facts and little bits of the history of palaeontology. It’s so unique! Maybe just keep it on a high shelf and read it WITH your child so you can protect it!

This is, without question, the most wonderful pop-up book I have ever seen. It is beautiful and creative but, more importantly, it is absolutely entrancing for my 3 year old. I’ve never seen him take such care with a book - he loves and treasures it and I fully expect him to still be reading it for many years to come! This would make a knock out gift for any kid who’s interested in dinosaurs. And I will be buying the others in the series!

This is a truly amazing, magical book, all of my kids love it (5,8,10) and (guilty pleasure) so do I! The pop-ups are so well made, intricate and colourful. As well as the incredible pop ups, the book is also packed full of fascinating dinosaur facts, about all our favourite dinosaurs and lots we have never heard of. My 5 year old took this book to show and tell at school and lots of the parents have been in touch to find out where I got it. All children that love dinosaurs should have this book!

This is a true work of art and well worth the money. We bought this for our five year old nephew, whose mum was sceptical about the appeal of a pop up book at his age. She could not have been more wrong. Each page has not only the main large pop up but one to three in each corner. The recipient tried out all the pop up three times in a row, several times later and wanted to do the same at bed time as well. Comments included: “wow” and “it’s amazing!” so I hope the creator writes a space one as that is the emerging fad!
