This book is full 0f advice about saving time and money, cutting waste etc.
I buy my weekly shopping from a discount supermarket. They simply don't have all the ingredients featured in this book. I turned to the Teriyaki beef recipe and it said to use date syrup (? instead of honey). Date syrup costs around £3.70 in my local health food shop, I bought a jar of honey from my discount supermarket that cost £1.25. I made this recipe with honey instead of the date syrup, it still felt healthy and delicious.
Another recipe is for goat curry - where do I buy goat meat? This book recommends to buy goat meat online...
This same date syrup is used in the sweet section, I simply would not make a mousse pudding with avocados and date syrup. I am going to say no to flapjacks with added date syrup. If I want flapjacks I am going to make traditional ones and just try not to eat too many (freeze the remainders).
In reality, I will not be cooking all the recipes in this book, I recommend Jack Munroe's for saving your cash and also Mary Berry's books for simple, tasty meals without too many ingredients.
I am not too sure who the target audience is for this book, but I don't honestly think you will save money on your food bills with this book.
