Very good charger but how about a trickle charge facility?

Certainly one of the best chargers I have had as I wish to regularly charge AAA,AA and C types. The only criticism that I have is that it will sometimes decide a cell is faulty and therefore reject it. If then take such a cell and trickle charge it on my very old charger to a minor degree, the ELB 906 will then accept it and complete the charge. This problem is not confined to the EBL906 as I have found many modern chargers suffer from the same problem. Could the charger include a trickle charge in such circumstances as I feel sure some people are rejecting batteries which can be brought back to life.

The best feature of this unit is that it will charge odd numbers of batteries, they don't need to be in pairs like most chargers. The display shows the charging progress of each individual battery. It has a discharge function so if you have a battery that seems a bit naff you can completely discharge it as a "reset", sometimes this will bring it back to life. Not particularly fast charging but this is not a bad thing for the life of rechargeable batteries. Edit: 1 year old and still going strong. I have learnt from this charger that good quality high capacity batteries make all the difference. Dont skimp, it will pay off in the long run.

This charger is superb. I have been using Duracell chargers in the past and this beats them, hands down. I often encountered Duracell batteries which just would not charge and which I (unfortunately) had to throw away. The discharge facility on this charger allows you to totally discharge one of these rouge batteries and then to fully recharge them ! It is well made and robust and the LCD display clearly shows charging progress. I only have one small quibble - why is the LCD display show the battery locations as a mirror image of the docking bay?

It looks good and 'charges fast' , but in reality, it doesn't fully charge the batteries. It takes less than an hour to charge some AAA batteries but they die within days. But using a traditional charger, although takes longer, but they do last a few times longer.
08/08/2018 updates. The supplier has sent me a replacement in which I appreciate very much with the good service. After testing the new unit for 2 weeks and I can confirm that it is working much better than the old one as expected. I appreciate the good service. Although taking a long time but have eventually resolved satisfactorily. Thanks once again.

It fast recharges and gives satisfactory information on the state of recharging for each battery, apart from the PP3 size. Those are charged but there is no display to show when complete re-charging is reached.
