Directions:

Check that the tube seal is intact before first use. Apply to the affected area twice a day. For external use only. A while ago I started to itch like crazy, and it turned out my other half had changed from non-bio to a biological washing tablet. Turns out I had a bad reaction to it so started to take anti-histamines while we tried to figure out what was causing the problem. This was really helpful for a few weeks … it soothed where I'd scratched and helped to stop the itching as well. So I was really glad to have this. If you have a mild allergy or something similar then this is very helpful.

I have a lot of scar tissue of varying depths and during temperature changes they can get rather inflamed and itchy, to the point where scratching does absolutely nothing to relieve it. I remembered I used to use this for shaving rash on my legs, so thought I'd give it a go. It takes the edge off considerably, but doesn't eradicate it completely, but I think that's most likely due to a fair amount of scar tissue being under the surface of the skin.
9 times out of 10 that I've used this, I've been happy with it, so I do highly recommend it, and I always like to make sure I've got some in the house, as it comes in handy for random rashes, bites and the such! I find it has all the properties as normal e45, plus the anti itchiness too, which normal e45 just doesn't do. (I'm getting itchy just talking about itchiness!)
If you have any skin conditions that causes itchiness, I highly recommend that you get some of this.

Full marks for value: big 100g tube for £4.75 on Amazon although more in the shops. Full marks for how easily it goes on. However, whilst it provides some relief for a time, it is not as effective as the costlier and more difficult to spread Lanacane. I find myself using Lanacane on the most irritating itches and the E45 elsewhere. I also find an antihistamine helps. Temporary use only - see a medical professional for persistent itching that can't be easily explained as it can be a symptom of far more serious conditions - in my case bile duct blockage requiring hospitalisation in the end after a collapse. No joke.

Did not work as well as Aveeno baby - soothing emollient cream

I dont really do reviews but i feel compelled this time as its no joke living with discomfort. I had fungal infection in the groin i treated for a long time with daktacort and now i have pruritus ani - topical steroid withdrawal. The fungal issue has gone but the skin is very thin and sensitive. I tried a few moisturisers which seemed to helpa bit, but then my partner suggested i tried the aveeno baby - soothing emollient cream and it literally takes the problem away all day, or if i use the toilet i have to re apply after. I did not realise how good it was till i tried this e45 itch relief cream. The e45 cream had an uncomfortable sensation immediately after applied For the next 2-3 hours at which point is was no help at all anymore. I thought i would share this as i have tried all sorts and searched the web many times trying to find what would work best. I hope this is of help to some people.

If you have an itchy condition, try this! I had a very bad skin problem first I thought was fungus, but it was not. When I found out it was not fungus, I ordered this. It healed my cracking, peeling and super itchy skin in a couple days. I ordered it simoultanously with a cream that contains hydrocortisone but I didn't need that. After using 1/3 of the E45 tube the problem was completely gone and did not return in the past six months

I had this recurring dry itchy patch of skin on my arm. I kept massaging with Johnson's baby oil, but didn't help much. Since then I have been using e45 itch relief. The itch is away, skin hasn't felt irritated or red ever since. You just need to keep your skin regularly moisturised, as i have dry skin generally. One other thing i noticed about the cream is very gentle on the skin, no smell and non greasy. Skin feels beautiful after application. Give it a try.
