How customer reviews and ratings work
Customer Reviews, including Product Star Ratings, help customers to learn more about the product and decide whether it is the right product for them.
To calculate the overall star rating and percentage breakdown by star, we don’t use a simple average. Instead, our system considers things like how recent a review is and if the reviewer bought the item on Amazon. It also analyses reviews to verify trustworthiness.

I bought these to replace the battery in my car key fob since I started getting a key not detected message. Unfortunately, they are out of date. They have an expiry date of December 2020 and I am writing this review at the end of August 2021. I didn't discover this until after I had opened the packet and installed the battery. I still get the key not detected message in my car so I have no idea if I have a sensor problem or a battery problem. I will now have buy more batteries (in date) to find out.If you do decide to buy these batteries, before you open the pack check out the expiry date on the back.

Used these as replacements in a Yale wireless burglar alarm system in the remote sensors. Replaced all the batteries the same day as the originals had been in service for about two years. These Duracell batteries started failing (low voltage) after six months. Replaced another today (lasted 8 months) hence this review.
Are these genuine Duracell batteries?
UPDATE FROM ORIGINAL REVIEW
After having several of these batteries fail after as little as three months in my Yale alarm system when the original batteries lasted over two years I have replaced them all. Went to the local DIY store, bought proper Duracell batteries and installed them. In summary the cheap price of these batteries really is too good to be true.

Sooo. We either have a) snidey batteries, b) counterfeit batteries, or c) batteries that have been kept in conditions specifically designed to run the power down. Seriously, if you order these then spend a couple of quid on the tester (it does aa, aaa etc). You'll be doing yourself a favour and helping other customers out by highlighting naff batteries like these...

This is the 2nd order of these batteries (abouttthree months apart). I use them in my Polar H10 chest trap for phys. Polar quote something like 400 hours plus so I should have cottoned on with the first order when my Garmin began telling me battery level was low after ten days (that'll be 15 hours then). I've since bought Amazon's top selling battery tester which shows all 8 BRAND NEW cells from my 2nd order to be either flat or as close to flat to not matter.

Bought a pack in April 2018 for a Visonic PIR alarm sensor. I replaced the old battery which had been in there for over a year in April and was surprised to get a low battery warning on the Visonic panel two days ago. Strange I thought but at least I have a spare CR2 because I bought two in April. So I put the second (from the pack) in yesterday, and low and behold one day later I have another low battery warning from the same sensor.
I have 5 other PIR sensors on the same alarm system, however these take CR123 batteries. I bought new ones in April and changed them all in April. These sesnors are all working fine (no low battery warnings). I can only conclude that the CR2's in the pack I bought were duds.
I won't be buying again, indeed I ordered a GP branded CR2 yesterday and will see if that lasts longer. It can hardly be shorter than the second battery in this pack which lasted all of 1 day :-(.

These were used to power small Christmas LED ornamental snowmen and the like. All snowmen are identical and have RGB effect.
In some of them, the batteries would last three days, in others the battery would last less than a day. The batteries were expensive for what they were, and the replacement batteries I bought on the high street for £1 lasted at least as long as these 'Duracell' ones did!
I felt totally ripped-off!

I had high hopes - Duracell is a recognized premium brand. These batteries are either a) counterfeit or b) extremely old. They last less than a couple of hours on bottle light LEDs. For comparison the batteries that came with the original order lasted weeks not hours. I can’t find a way of contacting the seller and I have used most of them on a test run so not much to return. All in all extremely disappointed and would steer clear.

I bought 1 pack of 3V batteries for my alarm sensor, it requires 3V, and thought I bought the correct one as advertised for this product. After I changed the battery the alarm panel keeps beeping as if the battery wasn't changed at all. Then I thought it could be the sensor rather than the battery so I called my alarm guy out, he checked the problem and found that the Duracell battery I bought isn't quite 3V as advertised so it keeps losing the signal. I had to pay for the alarm company labour + new battery which I had to fork out £118, when it could have been avoided had the battery been 3V. Hope this is just a one off case. But it is really bad when it says 3V but it's actually 2.78V. Total frustration!

I bought 8 of these batteries but in several cycling related devices (power meters, hub based speed sensors) the batteries have only lasted a number of weeks (or in one case a couple of days) when I would normally expected them to last for months. I will be buying batteries from the supermarket in future.
