    Essentials Kit 1

    Welcome to Dungeons & Dragons

Dungeons & Dragons is a cooperative storytelling game that harnesses your imagination and invites you to explore a fantastic world of adventure, where heroes battle monsters, find treasures, and overcome epic quests.

This box contains the essentials you need to run a D&D game with a Dungeon Master and one to five adventurers

    Essentials Kit 2

Take on the Dragon of Icespire Peak

Preying on anything it can catch with its claws or freeze with its icy breath, Cryovain, the young white dragon has descended upon the Sword Coast. Driven from their usual territory, all number of beasts have begun terrorizing the mining town of Phandalin.

Protect the townsfolk, discover wondrous magic items, and defeat the dragon in an epic Dungeons & Dragons adventure.

Learn How to Run a D&D Game

Easy to run for both new and experienced Dungeon Masters, the Dragon of Icespire Peak adventure book teaches you how to run a D&D game and provides detailed information about each location, quest, and monster the heroes may encounter.

    Essentials Kit 3

    Create Your Own Character

Use the blank character sheets provided to create your own D&D characters. The included rulebook will guide players through the character creation process and provide all the information they need to level up as they complete quests.

Dragon of Icespire Peak can be played with a group as small as one adventurer and one Dungeon Master. To run the game for a single player, just let them choose a “sidekick” to join their party. Nine sidekick options are included with personality descriptions and an illustrated card for each.

    Essentials Kit 4

Everything You Need in One Box

Monsters to fight, spells to cast, and dice to roll in combat—get everything you need to start playing Dungeons & Dragons, all in one box.

Beyond the essentials, this kit also includes fun handouts for players and accessories that make running the game easier. When a character discovers a magic item, pass them a card to unveil its wonders. Keep combat running smoothly with cards that track player order and explain conditions. And open up a whole world for your players to explore with a double-sided poster map.

    Essentials Kit 5

    Playing Dungeons & Dragons

    Become an Adventurer

Adventurers come in all shapes and sizes. Find one that’s fun for you.

An elvish cleric, driven from society for trespassing on tradition. A dwarven paladin, atoning for an ignominious past. The Player’s Handbook provides the skeleton for your characters. Flesh them out however you choose.

    Join the Party

D&D brings people together and forges new friendships. Silly moments spawn inside jokes; moving battles leave treasured memories—whether in the heat of battle, embroiled in social intrigue, or solving clever puzzles, your party has your back.

    Choose Your Own Path

The woods are growing dark. Behind a mass of ivy, you see the stones of a crumbling castle. What do you do?

In D&D, your options are limitless. Because the Dungeon Master, as narrator of your tale, can improvise in reaction to any choice you make, what happens next is entirely flexible. Do you dare go on?

5.0 out of 5 stars Fantastic starter set and ideal for first time DM / Players
By Ashley James Brown on 3 September 2019
Great new intro to the world of DnD (Dungeons and Dragons) and its 5th edition. Im an experienced DM with a lot of official content but still picked this up.

Experienced DMs will probably pick this up cos a) fed up of running Lost Mines and want the new Adventure and some new quests around a familiar area of the Forgotten Realms b) need a complete collection c) like the new sidekick rules, quest cards and haven't already bought the map from Mike Schleys website d) want a nice rulebook to hand to newbie players.

So whats this DnD thing everyone at work is talking about.... ?

Where this shines is for new players and new DMs who dont want to yet splash out the cash on the core rules and give it a blast cos curious or just have a few mates who have wondered what its all about and need a new fix in between Game of Thrones / Stranger Things....which is perfect. Please do join this inclusive hobby as its no longer just for geeks, middle aged white men with beards, quirky teens etc etc (please insert stereotype depending on age and gender)

    Whats the swag then....

You get a book thats a full set of mini adventures and a map to help with the immersive experience (as a DM this is how I like to play) so the Dungeon Master can get stuck in. Enemy stats at the back, rules included to get going.
Players get a nice rulebook to guide them through how to setup their character (limited choices of class and race but you can get a good enough flavour for now and plenty of online resources or books for more) and the sidekick rules really help if you know, you are a couple and fancy playing this and don't have a regular gaming group of 5 who might be interested etc etc
Cards - for sidekicks, quests, magic items (A nice touch), initiative order (nah thanks) and conditions. Some more useful but a nice addition on simple perforated cardstock.
Dice - yep again saves you needing any extra but not the best.
Character Sheets - saves you needing to print them off from the Wizards site.
DM Screen - is flimsy and not as solid as the Reincarnated one but it has the exact same info, aka everything you need bare min to run a game.

Just add pencil, friends, a table and a free evening or two..or three (DnD is very addictive with the right group of mates) and liberal sprinkling of imagination and yeh lets do this attitude. Job done.

Absolute bargain for £25 and if you all chip in then you will get a great evening out of this and then you will be totally back for more....
