PRODUCT CERTIFICATION (1)
Compact by Design is a new sustainability certification created by Amazon to identify products that, while they may not look much different, have a more efficient design. With the removal of excess air and water, products require less packaging and become more efficient to dispatch. At scale, these small differences in product size and weight lead to significant carbon emission reductions.
Caution: if laxatives are needed for more than five days in a row, or if symptoms persist, in particular if you have persistent abdominal pain or are passing blood, consult your doctor. Do not take if you have an intestinal obstruction, an inflammatory gastrointestinal disorder, or severe dehydration, or if you are pregnant, planning a pregnancy, or breast-feeding. Keep out of the sight and reach of children

From the manufacturer
Self-care is the first step to going comfortably
Eat a high-fibre diet
Eating foods high in fibre like wheat bran is key to keeping your bowels running smoothly. Try to eat about 30g of fibre every day.
Drink plenty of water
Not drinking enough fluids can cause constipation so it's important to stay hydrated and drink 6-8 glasses of water a day.
Remember to exercise
Keep things going easily by exercising regularly. A daily walk or run can make going more comfortable.
Focus on sustainability

I've tried a few different laxatives/softeners, all in liquid form and compared to dulcolax, they are useless. I originally went to my pharmacy and asked for a laxative, thinking I'd get the now known useless stuff and they gave me dulcolax liquid instead. It prescribed 5ml. I thought to myself that 5ml is not nearly enough as I'd guzzle the other stuff to little avail so I took around 20-30 ml of the dulcolax liquid, sometime in the early afternoon. WORST MISTAKE EVER. Sure enough, a few hours later I was on the porcelain throne, sweating, cramping and explosive diarrhoea with the worst smells imaginable. The only comfort I take from the experience is that I was at home with no commitments or work to do. Then on, I took the prescribed amount at the prescribed time, just before bed time. Wake up next morning and you're good to go.
It was still though very cramping so I decided to try the tablet form. I took ONE last night and this morning, little to no cramping effect, onto the throne and am now good as gold.
All my experiences lead me to giving you these two tips:
1. TAKE ONE TABLET, not 2/3/4
2. TAKE IT JUST BEFORE BED, not during the day when you're committed to something or else you will experience hell.
The tablets are tiny, I was very tempted to take more than one, thanks to the gods that I did not.
Took 1 tablet as prescribed the night before last to relieve week long constipation, no effect at all so took another 2 last night before bed. The box says take 2 if no effect so thought nothing of it.
Went to bed and within hours I had got up and been the loo, was really happy. Fast forward to 3am and I honestly thought I was having contractions- the pain was horrendous, I was seriously considering a trip to A&E until my boyfriend reminded me I had taken them tablets. Well, good job I didn’t get in his car or I would be single (actually, still might be when he sees the brand new dining room chair later) about 3.45 am I ran to the loo and it was hell. I was back and to most of the night. Working from home this AM, 8am start work, 8.02 got a ‘feeling’... yep sh*t myself... (dining room chair) ... so yeah... be careful with these please.... the pain and the effects aren’t great for everyone.
I woke up and all was normal. And then the wind started at around 9am. So bad the dog didn’t even want to be near me. And then the cramps came. (I’ve had worse period cramps though, so I didn’t want to die.)
I was pretty much glued to the toilet for an hour. But my god did I feel like a new woman after. I really wish I had weighed myself before; I definitely expelled the equivalent of a small elephant.
I’d highly recommend these - just make sure you have a morning where you don’t need to be anywhere. And preferably a morning when no one else is about.
I am a fit (for my age according to the Ambulance staff that were called).
I took one pill before bed and woke early needing to go to the loo. Within a couple of minutes started getting massive cold sweats and felt extreme nausea. Got off the toilet and collapsed hitting my head. Ambulance called who took ECG, blood pressure, checked sugar levels etc all ok. Within an hour I felt better.
Re-read the information and it does state side affects are nausea and vommitting...
This is just to let you know.
I read all the information and take no listed conflicting medication.
Blimey, avoid. I took one tablet as advised by my gp as I’m suffering from constipation due to other medications and I wish I hadn’t. I woke up dripping in sweat, the worst agonising stomach cramps in the world. I was sat on the toilet, vomiting and pooping at the same time! I needed to use my asthma reliever because I couldn’t breathe. I fainted twice. So dizzy and this was last night. Luckily I’ve drank gallons of water and I’m feeling much better but the stomach cramps are still mildly there.
Not even a max dose of codeine could dull the pain. I contemplated calling a doctor. As each wave of cramps began, I wondered if this is what childbirth contractions felt like, and now I no longer wish to have children.
But, this was all user error. Worked fine for making me go the toilet, I just never anticipated it would make my pancreatitis hit harder. Box came a little squished though.
