Purchased for my nearly 5 year old son. He has ASD and one of his special interests is dice - he was borrowing some to bring home from nursery every day so thought it was time we treated him to his own! He takes them everywhere and sleeps holding the white ones which are his particular favourites 😂

My daughter is three and loves to roll dice, but not as much as she loves to lose dice down the back of the sofa. Dice pass through our house at speed- we never really get to know them before they are gone into the mists of time and space, some after a few bonding games of Snakes & Ladders, and some after a single, rage-fuelled moment of Throwing Things. These dice could only be improved upon (in her opinion, which I am paraphrasing as she is three and cannot type), if they were one or all of the following: rainbow-coloured, somehow unicorn themed, edible. As a parent, I am conscious that they have no sharp corners or edges, appear to roll easily in small hands, don't look like they came from a casino, and come in a big multi-pack. Ideally, they would taste absolutely disgusting so she didn't try to put them in her mouth (after the first attempt), but this feels like it might be asking too much.

So for the price I was expecting half decent dice, and especially dice that were balanced properly.
Upon taking them out it barely felt like I was holding anything in my hand.. like they're hollow or something.
I roll-tested a few thoroughly and certain numbers are coming out way too often for it to be balanced as it should be.
So the dice aren't fit for purpose, the purpose of a die is for it to roll a random number.
Got a refund, wont buy again.

Dice have a bit of weight about them and have no rough edges or moulding marks. I use them in my Yahtzee boxes - if they wern't decent, I wouldn't use them.

Kids homework seems to regularly assume we own a dice, was only looking to buy one or but this set was a similar price and the kids love it, they bud towers and my youngest (age 5) has learnt the number patterns more quickly than I'd expected (she struggles at school) as she loves to play with these so much. A few sides aren't the best paint job e.g. The number 1 dot can be sloppy but it's no big deal, it's a fab set.

The dice feel very cheap but for the price, I thought would be OK just to be rolled down a dice tower. The cheap feel I can put up with but they are severely unbalanced! A dice tower helps generate more randomness but the same 2 numbers kept coming up on all colour die (4 and 6). Save your money and invest in better. The reason they are cheap has now become clear.
