I bought this to replace a very very old one for an elderly relative who primarily uses it when doing jigsaws, reading, crafting etc. Their last one’s gel was sectioned off in zones eg a forehead section, a right cheek section etc where the gel could only pool in one location, per section. This one isn’t sectioned off. It is all one piece & the gel can move throughout the entire mask.
This means if you’re using it in an upright position, that the gel soon (very quickly!) gravitates to the bottom of the mask, leaving no gel anywhere else.
You probably wouldn’t have this issue if using it lying down but for someone with a more active or busy lifestyle, this is not fit for purpose.
They also made comment that the Velcro fastening was loud if it needed to be put on during the night, as it would disturb others & that it gets stuck in the hair during attaching it & detaching it. They said elastic ear loops would’ve been much more user-friendly.
A massive thumbs down from my recipient!
