My skin has becone a little sensistive with mask wearing/weather etc so i wanted a cleanser that would be super gentle whilst giving my skin a much needed hydration boost. After lots of review reading & friend recommendations i opted to try this and i am not disappointed at all. It has a gel lotion type texture which feels more like a moisturiser to use than a face wash, which admittedly takes some getting used to. However it feels so cooling and calming it gives instant relief to my stressed skin. It doesn't foam or even go milky as such but just massages silkily around with ease, so gentle its also superb around the eye area. I wipe away with a damp face cloth & my skin is left with no residue & feeling relieved, super soft & perfectly clean. In just a couple of days use my skin already feels & looks in much better condition, my breakouts have cleared and any redness & dry areas have all but disappeared. Im now questioning why this was not in my routine months ago. Now I've used it there is no going back & i totally understand why so many of my friends recommended it. Amazing product & great value.

However , even though this is a Good cleanser, I haven't seen any visible improvement on my skin - acne and redness wise, I'm still battling with both this problem until now so this does NOT cure your acne or pigmentation. Those who wrote that must have been using other treatments with this or changed their diet or ate the pill or something along those lines . The only thing I know for sure about this product is that it leaves your skin hydrated and is gentle enough for sensitive skin. So if this is just what you are looking for in your cleanser, get this. If not, get something else to target the problem.

Gentle for sensitive skin & Large Bottle

This is my second bottle of cerave hydrating cleanser and also the third time in my life I've spent this much on a facial cleanser (third being the cerave foaming hydrating cleanser which caused my skin dryness and acne) but This bottle was worth the spend for this quantity. At first you'll find it weird because the texture is like spreading lotion on your face compared to standard face wash where it is foaming and you feel more "squeaky" clean. However you'll slowly get used to the gentleness of the product. It cleans your faces but not thoroughly, most importantly it doesn't leave my face tight and it Retains the moisture on my skin. But because it's such a gentle cleanser it doesn't clean everything away, so I encourage those who wear makeup to also use another cleanser before (like oil/miscellar) . The ingredients listed on the back also seems to be okay, doesn't contain any obviously bad Ingredient like parabens, but the céramides are all listed on the very end which means the quantity is the least - not sure whether it's something I should be concerned about or not.By Florence on 2 May 2021
