From the manufacturer

THE HEARTBEAT OF YOUR ENGINE
Carlube is the largest independent oil manufacturer in the UK. Production takes place at our state of the art manufacturing facility in the North West of England.
The Carlube range provides complete protection for the latest hit performance and older generation cars, commercial vehicles, motorcycles, agricultural and industrial vehicles and marine vessels.
CARLUBE ADBLUE
AdBlue is used with selective catalytic systems to reduce emissions of Nitrogen Oxides from the exhausts of diesel vehicles.
The general consumption by passenger vehicles of AdBlue is around 1 Litre per 1000km, which typically leaves the vehicles having the AdBlue refilled at regular service intervals. But our technical team noticed that some vehicles are using more AdBlue meaning they require top-up between service intervals, so introduced a 10L AdBlue to keep customers on the road.
- Improves environmental impact through reduced emissions.
- Reduces Nitrogen Oxides into the atmosphere, resulting in better fuel economy.
- 5% reduction in fuel costs and lower servicing costs.
- Carlube is suitable for all vehicles fitted with SCR systems.
- Colourless, Non-toxic and Non-flammable.
- Attachable spout included with the 10L version for ease of use.

Frequently Asked Questions
What does AdBlue actually do?
AdBlue is a very high purity aqueous urea solution made from 32.5% high-purity urea and 67.5% demineralised water, used in selective catalytic reduction. Within the SCR system the chemical make-up of the AdBlue is used to create a reaction with the noxious gases emitted by diesel engines to convert a proportion of the gases into harmless substances.
Why does my car need AdBlue?
Diesel manufacturers are now obliged to reduce emissions of Nitrous Oxides to a certain level - AdBlue is a system that allows them to reduce the emissions without drastically altering the power output or fuel efficiency of the engine.
Is AdBlue safe to handle?
AdBlue is a non-hazardous product and is safe to handle. However use of gloves is advised.
Does AdBlue freeze?
It will freeze at -11 degrees. When it thaws, the product will retain its initial quality.
How long can I store AdBlue?
Providing it is stored at room temperature and away from direct sunlight, up to 18 months.

Like others i can confirm it will be nearly impossible to hold both this 10L bottle and steady the funnel at chest level to pour into AdBlue filler on car. I had a an old 5 L screen wash bottle that I rinsed with water and then decanted this Carlube 10L. Tip: do this on the floor in a corner leaning the funnel against both walls at a slight angle so you can use both hands to hold the 10L AdBlue.
I decanted about just over half of the 5L bottle at a time and then moved it over to the car and used the smaller bottle, with one hand whilst holding the funnel in the other into the car. The third time of doing this the AdBlue spilled out. It took 5 minutes.
We have a new Range Rover Evoque. The AdBlue low warning light came on and after refilling it took about 8L to fill up before overspilling. I then washed the overspill with water to clear from paint/car.
This Carlube product was cheapest option. If you take to a garage it can cost up to 5 times as much. So make sure you have the funnel and smaller bottle to decant into and you should be good to go.
Hope this helps.
Despite weight of tub was an easy task, a few drips but product is harmless (do`t go making cocktails with it)
Point to check apparently this stuff can go "off" and important to buy a recently made one / batch this one from a North west based company had the date stamp / batch code of when product manufactured (1 month before I bought) I don`t think there is a hard rule on expiry but reading about it 1 - 2 years is about the limit.
Also don`t stock pile at home unless you do high mileage, try to buy right amount for your vehicle as you don`t want half open bottles left in your garage for long period.
Great for recycling the whole bottle including spout went in to home recycling bin after a rinse as product not dangerous / poisonous or flammable.
Also apparently modern cars/ vans will stop working is all ad blue is depleted so don`t ignore the dashboard warnings as you get a good time frame (mine was VW tiguan and started indication at 1500 miles countdown).
My review is of the packaging - namely the pouring spout. My van has a flap in the filler neck that has to be pushed open by the spout - the spouts on both containers were too short resulting in the Adblue overflowing and running down the side of my van and over my feet. There are thousands of similar vans on the road so I guess a lot of this product ends up on the ground.
I'll be sourcing a suitable funnel for future refills and only buying this product when it's the most cost effective option on Amazon. At the time of purchase it was £20 for 2 10L containers. Two months later the price has gone up to £12.60 for one 10L container..... I'll be buying from another Amazon seller 2 x 10L containers for £17.20.
The only draw back is it's size and weight which, initially makes it unwieldy when using the supplied spout.
If you're not very strong, the answer is to pour a few litres into a jug -probably two at a time - and use a funnel, which CAN be a bit messy.
So, if in doubt, pay a little extra and get it done for you at a garage.
Having just mentioned that, it IS a great product and a super price.

There was no pouring extension included - but the funnel made it unnecessary.
Other than that use of the product was straightforward and the car seems happy - so all good.
I shall buy again next time I need some.
I do have a photograph, but we've all seen a soaked cardboard box before.
The packaging, on this occasion, was only just sufficient to protect the contents in transit. On opening the box I noticed that some of the scrunched up paper used as padding was wet. A small amount of the AdBlue had leaked! The leak was not extensive and was recent (the paper was still wet and there were no crystals left by evaporation. The orientation of the container relative to the wet paper suggested to me that the leak was past the screw on lid, probably resulting from an impact). I suspect that the paper and the inflated plastic bags used within the box were insufficient, or incorrectly positioned.
Fortunately the leak was not significant enough for it to matter.
