I bought this thinking it was a large bag, pictures can be deceiving. Turn out to be a pointless tiny bag. I then went on to see how much this tiny bag would normally cost in pets at home. Turnee out to be £6.49, compared to the ridiculous £12 on here. Not impressed with the price or the advertisement of this product. It should be displayed in comparison with a 20l or 50l bag, just so you can see what you're getting. I would have returned it had it not been for the need to use right away. Save yourself money and get it from pets at home. They also deliver free if you spend over £39. Which is what I did straight away!!

I have a standard size cage for two guinea pigs and the pack lined half the cage costing me £12 it's extremely expensive for half a cage and a single use. after an hour of it being in the cage it was flat on the bottom with yellow pee stains that muddied the colours it smelt awful and I would never ever buy again. My guinea pigs didn't like it either and showed this by pulling their hay to cover it.

I was trying to get some small animal goods together lastnight, I stupidly didn't look at the size of this bag of carefresh and just popped it in the basket. I knew I had paid £13.99 so when it arrived this morning and was only a 10L for that price I was disgusted in what an absolute rip off this was. 10L carefresh even the confetti colour one is only £6.99 at Pets at home. How are you getting away with charging double??? Return in progress of this item as I'm defo not ok with being charged double the price.

This is great bedding, however it is only enough for one of two gerbil cage changes. The bag is small as other raters have said, and the bag is not full of compacted bedding. It’s quite loose so doesn’t appear to expand at all. I would recommend buying similar product from Omlet or somewhere else as the carefresh bedding from there was compact and expanded to almost double the amount from what I remember. Not sure why this pack didn’t. I find it hard to believe it is 10 litres of bedding.

I’m pretty disappointed in the colour of it, especially from a company which seems to value the aesthetics of a cage by offering different colour options.

To me the substrate looks brown, cardboard brown at the lightest, but definitely brown. I was thinking leaf litter or soil type resemblance.

It actually looks like sawdust, which is the enemy. I’ve spent a fortune on expensive and ethical substrate and it looks like the opposite.

This is very good bedding and is indeed dust free like advertised but it's very expensive. We've bought similar volumes of other bedding and managed a lot more. For example we use a 140L bin cage and I don't think this bedding would be enough to fill it.

Like other reviews have said, I think 10L is the volume when expanded rather than compressed in the package.

I was using this for a few months since getting my current rats, usually i would buy the same brand from pets at home or somewhere but when i couldn’t get out i ordered it here. It was easily to arrange in the cage and clean, although bit would fall out the sides and get all over the house.
I have since stopped using it completely because I noticed the last bag i bought (can’t remember if was from here or a shop) was extremely dusty, like you could see it floating around when you hit the bag. One of my rats has been making odd sounds that suggest respiratory problems, so I have swapped to just fleece and newspaper again.
Be careful buying loose bedding like this for rats, they’re too sensitive and there’s always dust or small bits that can cause problems.
