I knew these were for kids, so I am writing this review based on that.
I brought to take leaves of the surface of my fish pond and they worked quite well for this.
They are pretty flimsy, but if you are careful, they will be OK.
One of the telescopic sections of one net just came off. I've not used it much. The remaining sections are still ok, i just lost the use of the handle and first section.
I have lifted some stones from the bottom of the pond up to 4" long with the second one and it has survived so far. I was very careful doing this.
If the telescopic section had not come off one of them so easily I would have recommended for the price with 5 stars. Maybe I was just unlucky.

One broken was bad enough, both was a disaster

I bought two of these for my grandchildren's visit on Monday. We took them to a shallow river for a picnic and within an hour both nets were broken. One of the nets came off the handle, the other one the handle came off followed half an hour later the net also came off. Then I had two very frustrated granchildren on my hands. For them it was a nightmare. Whoever made these needs shooting. One broken was bad enough, both was a disaster. Do not buy them.

These nets were ordered as additional pieces for the kids explorer kits. They have extendable handles which after 2 weeks have not bent or destroyed by the not so delicate handling of the kids. The net opening is not particularly large, approx. 20cm in diameter, but work well enough to catch butterflies and even dragonflies when out in the garden.
The colour you will get is random and we received blue and pink when ordering 2. The colour of the nets is vibrant.
I did notice that the price has changed quite a bit since these were purchased so might be worth tracking the price.

When this item didn't arrive I contacted the purchaser who sent another pair out! I have just received them and are delighted with the quality - they look good and are such good value for money! My grandsons haven't tried them yet but I'm sure they will have lots of fun with them - especially lengthening and shortening the pole. Compact for packing for a trip. One net arrived broken, went to send it back, but you have to print a label and pay for postage. By the time you have done that, it’s not worth it as the item was low value. I would recommend buying something that won’t come broken and sturdier!

Bought this as I'm raising butterflies and wanted a net to get them back into their enclosure easily and it has proven handy in fishing them out from behind the radiator. The net feels relatively sturdy, I think it'll be fine as I'm not using it for anything that could be tough on it (like fishing). The price wasn't bad but the only downsides were you can't pick the colour (which I don't mind but I know how some children will want a specific one) and the packaging was ridiculous. It came in a huge cardboard box several times the size of the net and a sheet of brown paper to stop it being bashed about, which was mad seen as I had only ordered one net. Overall, a nice (but not perfect) product
